Total Divas Island - Total Divas recap for November 8, 2017

Nattie admits to Mark Carrano that she is extremely nervous. She tries to take a selfie, but Mark tells her to be calm. She eventually goes into the ring for the match, knowing that whatever happens will happen. If she falls off a ladder, so be it. Brie watches the match from home with daughter Birdie, wishing she would be there. We then meet Carmella, who also debuts in this season. She comes from a big Italian family and grew up around wrestling.

Lana is in her first match for the SmackDown Women's title. She admits she is nervous, but she loves the nerves and she is excited to have the match. She knows that she has to impress the company, or else the crowd will eat her alive. After the match - in which Naomi retains - the SmackDown Women's Division congratulates Lana. Lana says there is room to improve, but she is committed to getting better.

Naomi, Nattie and Carmella meet at a restaurant. We hear about Carmella's relationship with Big Cass and how they are now on separate brands. Brie FaceTimes Nattie and Naomi, and set up to meet at Brie's house to help out with taking care of Birdie. Nattie admits she is more of a cat person than a baby person (as is TJ), but she is willing to give the babysitting thing a shot.

Lana and Nia Jax work out at the gym. Nia tells Lana that she is too different from the rest of the girls, and tells her that she should not be a wrestler when she has presence as a manager, and says that people only want to work with her because she has heat backstage.

Maryse meets Alexa Bliss as she does a photo shoot for WWE at her own house. They plan to go to Japan for a tour and go shopping for it. Maryse hopes to make Alexa Bliss dress a little more modestly.

Lana and Rusev head to a restaurant. After taking a few photos, Lana talks to Rusev about all the nay-saying that she is getting.

Maryse and Alexa Bliss meet at the airport. Alexa Bliss notices that Maryse doesn't see her appearance as championship-worthy, but she pays it no mind. She talks to Mark Carrano about it, and he tells here that while she looks fine, it is a bit casual for a champion and that she should dress more like a star.

Nattie and Naomi meet Brie at Brie and Bryan's house. Nattie learns that there is so much to looking after a baby after Brie explains how to warm the milk and how to take care of Birdie.

Nia Jax, Alexa and Maryse are in Japan. As they go shopping, Maryse steers Alexa towards thinks that make her look more like a star. Maryse loves it, but Nia sees that Alexa is uncomfortable. Alexa and Nia talk about the former's uncomfortably, as it reminds her of her eating disorder from when she was in her teens.

Brie and Bryan have a quesadilla in a restaurant. Brie wonders what Nattie and Naomi are doing right now. Naomi is excited about babysitting, but Nattie is more preoccupied with Josie and Winston. Naomi is frustrated about having to do all the work with Birdie, and is amazed that she would volunteer herself and Naomi to do it again. On the car ride back, Naomi wishes that Nattie was more hands-on with Birdie, and if she is not going to do that, then they should not make themselves available to Brie.

Nikki and Lana train in the gym. Lana appreciates the help that Nikki is giving her, and when Lana tells Nikki about the hate that she is getting, Nikki talks about how she pushes it all aside as it is all about self-progress.

In Japan, Alexa does a podcast with Lilian Garcia. She talks about her sports experience in her early life, her time getting used to WWE as well as her battle with anorexia when she was in her teens.

After the show in Japan, Alexa and Maryse talk about the shopping trip. Maryse understands that Alexa felt just a little uncomfortabel, and they come to a understanding that they will come to more of a middle ground next time they go shopping.

At Brie and Bryan's house, Brie tells Naomi and Nattie about how she swaddles Birdie. Nattie admits that she is not much of a baby person, and wonders how she can be maternal with her parents and with the locker room, and wonders how she can take care of a baby. Brie says it's not for everybody and that it is a process. She also offers to hang out with them at home, and see what is going on in the locker room.

At SmackDown Live, Lana talks with Mark Carrano backstage. She finds out that her storyline with Naomi will be ending, and that her training to be a wrestler is over and done. Lana FaceTimes Nikki and tells her about it, and Nikki reminds her that she is not terrible at wrestling. Nikki tells her that she still has potential in the WWE.

She says that she and Almas met Drew McIntyre face to face, and that Drew just was not ready for it. As for Almas' relationship with Zelina, she admits they have a past and that she has known him for seven years. Velveteen Dream quickly beats Cezar Bononi. After the match, Velveteen Dream tells Aleister Black that he gave him what he needed, and now he is on his mind. At NXT TakeOver: War Games, when all that is dark comes to light, he will get what he wants when Aleister says his name.

In footage from earlier today, Ruby Riot finds out she will need two more weeks before she comes back. Sonya Deville shows up and says this could have been avoided if she tapped out. She also blames Ruby Riot for her being out of the title picture. Ruby tells her she should have broken her, and that it's her fault she's out of it. When she comes back, they can go one-on-one to see who deserves an opportunity at the Women's title. Sonya Deville accepts that challenge and leaves the trainer's room. Ruby Riot tells the interview she will definitely be ready for that match.

Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) do a video in the halls of Full Sail University when a man in a suit shows up. They hand him an official Street Profits party cup. A man delivering a suit shows up, and says he is looking for Tino Sabbatelli. Montez Ford says he is Tino, and he takes the suit. As he and Dawkins check out the suit, Tino and Riddick Moss show up. They tell Street Profits to stop touching their stuff, as their suit is $5,000 and custom-made. Angelo Dawks challenges them to a match next week. Moss and Tino accept.

Next week: Dree McIntyre and Andrade "Cien" Almas meet face-to-face!
