Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for June 6, 2026

Dustin Starr interviews Mike Anthony at the announce desk to start today's show. Mike Anthony respectfully asks for - and gets - the microphone, then addresses the bounty on his head placed by Tim Bosby and says that he will not only double the bounty himself, but he wants anybody and everybody in the business to come after him. He says that people want to see him in this company or that, but he is exactly where he is where he wants to be - in professional wrestling - and dares any and all comers to step up so he can step on them. Suddenly, Sevyn Cruz tries to attack Mike Anthony from behind. Mike Anthony makes light work of him, but Jae Pariah jumps in and also attacks Mike Anthony from behind. This leads to a two-on-one handicap match.

Mike Anthony beats The Vybe Check (Sevyn Cruz and Jae Pariah) in a two-on-one handicap match with two double Genetic Dreams followed by a double brainbuster. During the match, Tim Bosby guests on commentary. After the match, Tim Bosby gets in the ring and tries to hit Mike Anthony with the Heritage Championship, but when Mike Anthony ducks and gets him up for a brainbuster, Bosby blocks it and hits a low blow. Bosby then puts Mike Anthony in an ankle lock, and referees and security up just before Bosby lets go of the hold.

Backstage, "The Gift" Ray Sanders, Derrick King and Matchmaker King Cobra agree something needs to be done with "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock. King Cobra says he can handle this himself, but Ray Sanders and Derrick King want to back King Cobra up.

Backstage, Kevin White and Gavin White make a plan regarding Tim Grind and Lil' Homie. Kevin White says they will get things settled, but Gavin wonders what will happen if they do not. Kevin says they will do what is right until they can't, and they will fix it one way or another.

Dustin Starr interviews VaShawn Harvey and Marko Stunt at the announce desk. VaShawn Harvey could care less about Eugene, and Marko Stunt says that Eugene is in the past in more ways than one, saying that Eugene was a fan of his and that he and VaShawn got rid him, as the WrestleCenter does not need Eugene when the real champions are running things. Marko Stunt says there is a major reason why he stuck with VaShawn Harvey, as there is only room for one Marko in Memphis Wrestling and he is the better Marko. Marko "Hangtime" Harris shows up and wants to know why Marko Stunt would help VaShawn Harvey after all VaShawn did to him, then tells VaShawn he is taking the Internet Championship back and kicking their asses. Marko Harris punches the both of them, but the numbers game eventually takes over when VaShawn Harvey throws Marko Harris into the ring steps and blasts him with the Internet Championship.

"Livewire" Bobby Ford beats "The King of Pow" Chris Lexx by disqualification after Chris Lexx picks up a chain that Bobby Ford drops and hits him with the chain wrapped around his fist after Bobby Ford calls him a coward.

Backstage, "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock has Jake Brewer forced into the office by Secret Service to announce that "The Gift" Ray Sanders vs. Jay Smooth is now today's main event. He says that Ray Sanders is in so much trouble before Jake Brewer is forced back out of the room.

C-Rex quickly beats Robbie Maddux after overpowering Major Curtis.

We hear from Big Daddy, who talks about his Stage 3 colorectal cancer diagnosis from January, and despite days being both good and bad, he thanks the Memphis Wrestling fans for their support, and says he cannot wait to get back to 100%. He then warns the locker room that there is a beast on the loose and that Big John Dalton is back, and that everyone is on notice.

We see the nurse from a few weeks ago. As she says that she is not crazy, the room glows red, and we see J. Webb behind a window.

CJ Squared (CJ Money and CJ Blaine) vs. The Slaughterhouse (Jagged James and Nasty Nick) ends in a no-contest. After The Slaughterhouse leave a path of destruction through the WrestleCenter entrance, CJ Square get decimated before the bell rings. Muddy Waters (Gio Savage and "The Judge" RJW) show up, and after RJW cracks his whip, The Slaughterhouse and Reverend Ash Taylor back down.

"Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock guests on commentary for the next match, and he boots Dustin Starr out of his seat on commentary to do it.

Jay Smooth beats "The Gift" Ray Sanders. During the match, "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock has Secret Service remove and replace senior referee David Knight mid-match. Shortly after that, Secret Service removes Derrick King from ringside for being in Ray Sanders' corner. After that, Kale trips Ray Sanders down from the top rope, allowing Jay Smooth to hit Smooth Sailing for the win.
