Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for June 27, 2026

In backstage footage from earlier today, Matchmaker King Cobra, Derrick King and "The Gift" Ray Sanders are greeted by the locker room. Wonder Boy says that he would usually call them citizens, but in this care, they are the heroes, and in case they run low on energy, they can always plug it in with The Shocker. Kevin White says that he just got back and he is not ready to quit yet, and if he had to pick anybody, it could be Derrick King. K-Toomer says he usually comes to Derrick King and King Cobra for advice and looks to Ray Sanders like a brother, then says that what is happening to Memphis Wrestling is unacceptable and that they must take it back, as they worked too hard for this and they do not want a mockery of this for the future. He also says that they tell him not to tear the place up all the time, and that it is their turn to tear the place up.

Diana Taylor retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship against Raven Black by disqualification after Raven hits Diana with a bottle. After the match, however, "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock shows up and restarts the match as a no-disqualification match. Bobbi Thunder shows up and tosses Diana into the ring, where Raven pins Diana to become the champion. Raven Black beats Diana Taylor to become the Memphis Wrestling Women's Champion.

Backstage, Derrick King meets with "The Gift" Ray Sanders. Sanders says they must win, and Derrick says they will. Matchmaker King Cobra shows up wondering who their partner is and when he will be here, and Derrick King says he will be here. Sanders says the third man causes trouble wherever he goes, but he still does not trust him. Nevertheless, Sanders and Cobra trust Derrick King.

We see footage from last week in Jackson, Tennessee where Kevin and Gavin White beat The Bizness Dawgs (Tim Grind and Lil' Homie) for the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships.

The Slaughterhouse (Jagged James and Nasty Nick) beat Muddy Waters (Gio Savage and "The Judge" RJW) by disqualification after RJW hits Nasty Nick with a whip.

Backstage, Sevyn Cruz and Jae Pariah rue the loss of KJ Rockett and the $5,000 bounty on Mike Anthony, then Sevyn says that the vibes are not working. All of a sudden, a man who calls himself "Brown Sugar" shows up offering to help them out.

Dustin Starr moderates a contract signing between Mike Anthony and Tim Bosby at the announce desk. Mike Anthony shows up first, and eh says that he does not call himself the best; the fans do. The crowd chants "MVP," and Mike Anthony says that this was the fans' choice, that he is the MVP's MVP, and that Bosby will go up and go down for the three count while he becomes Memphis Wrestling Heritage Champion. Mike Anthony signs the contract. Tim Bosby shows up, then says he will not be signing the contract because if he does and they have to wrestle, he will embarass Mike Anthony like he has embarassed everyone else because he is getting the match. Bosby says that the fans are not getting their match, then Mike Anthony says that Bosby is "second to one" and that he can end his career right now. Bosby signs the contract after some hesitation, then pokes Mike Anthony in the eye with the pen. Mike Anthony responds with a low blow before putting Bosby through the table for the contract signing with a brainbuster.

Derrick King and "The Gift" Ray Sanders beat The Hollywood Clique (Jay Smooth and Kale) and Big Vito in a ladder match for controlling ownership of Memphis Wrestling. During the match, "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock tries to climb the ladder, but he is stopped - and punched - by Matchmaker King Cobra. Soon after this, Kale stops Ray Sanders from climbing the ladder and pulls out a black ladder with "Hollywood" on it. As he climbs it, the lights go out, then Sycho Simon shows up for the first time since he lost the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship. Kale thinks that Simon is on his side until he gets choke slammed, then clotheslines and elbow drops . He then extends his hand to Ray Sanders, who takes it. Simon helps Sanders up, and Sandrs climbs the ladder and grabs the briefcase to win the match and controlling ownership of Memphis Wrestling from The Hollywood Clique.
