Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown Live recap for February 7, 2017

Daniel Bryan shows up to start tonight's show. Daniel Bryan reminds everyone that he retired here in Seattle, Washington the last time he was here. He says the last year hasn't been easy, but he is still grateful, and he is especially grateful to be General Manager so that the fans can have the best show possible. He also announces that he will soon be a father. Suddenly, The Miz and Maryse show up, and The Miz feigns enthusiasm for what is going on Daniel Bryan's life, making fun of him before telling him to be a stay-at-home dad and asking why he is even here. D-Bry reminds Miz that not being able to wrestle never kept him from getting in the ring, and The Miz tells D-Bry he does not respect him. As Miz is forced to deal with a loud throng of "Daniel Bryan" chants, Baron Corbin shows up and tells The Miz he should know when to shut up. Miz tells Corbin he can help him at Elimination Chamber, but Corbin tells him he can take him out right now so he doesn't have to hear him when he becomes WWE Champion, an idea that Daniel Bryan seems to welcome. Dean Ambrose shows up and tells Miz he looks like a shoe and tells Corbin he's got a ways to go before announcing he will walk out on Sunday as a dual champion, and tells Corbin and Miz that if they're not careful, they won't be able to walk at all. AJ Styles shows up, says he's beaten everyone in the ring once before, and says being WWE Champion is the only thing he cares about after he is sickened by the "AJ Styles" chants. Miz says he won't do that, as he is the most must-see Superstar of all time and that he is better than everyone else in the ring. Daniel Bryan settles things by putting The Miz, Baron Corbin, Dean Ambrose and AJ Styles in a Fatal 4-Way match, and that match is next.

Luke Harper says man is most dangerous when he has nothing left to lose, but what about a man who had nothing to begin with. He says that Randy Orton stole his family and that he is a liar, and that he has seen the snake in the grass for far too long. He doesn't want to cut the head off The Viper; he wants to hurt him and make him feel pain, and at Elimination Chamber, Orton will be eliminated.

Nikki Bella and Natalya are interviewed via satellite. Both are in separate locations so that they can't lay a hand on each other. Nikki says they were friends for a long time, but the Natalya she knew and loved is dead to her. Natalya says they were never friends, and Nikki doesn't have friends; she has followers and a team of people who make her look good. After Elimination Chamber, that group will have their work cut out for them after she beats Nikki and exposes her as the terrible wrestler she is. She also insists Nikki turned her uncle Bret "The Hit Man" Hart against her, and Nikki calls Natalya "a crazy cat lady" after saying he is angry and bitter and craving for the spotlight as she coasts on her family's reputation. Natalya says Nikki is bitter because she'll never have her own child. Nikki tells Natalya the only thing she's ever been good at is wrestling, and asks what she'll do after Elimination Chamber. Natalya says John Cena won't be able to nurse Nikki back to health as he is champion. After a few more verbal low blows from Natalya, Nikki leaves the interview.

Apollo Crews quickly gets an upset win on Dolph Ziggler with a schoolboy pin, then Ziggler attacks Apollo after the match. Ziggler grabs a steel chair and hits Apollo with it. Kalisto rushes in and fights off Ziggler, kicking the steel chair out of his hands, but Ziggler lays Kalisto on the rope and smacks him and Crews in the back with the steel chair afterward.

WWE celebrates Black History Month with Rosa Parks.

Dolph Ziggler runs into Daniel Bryan backstage, who confronts him for his actions in the ring. Ziggler says he can beat Kalisto and Apollo Crews anytime, even at the same time, but hitting people with a steel chair is more fun. Daniel Bryan puts Ziggler in a 2-on-1 handicap match against Crews and Kalisto.

Renee Young is the moderator for the dual contract signing for two Elimination Chamber matches: Mickie James vs. Becky Lynch and Naomi vs. Alexa Bliss for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship. Mickie and Alexa come out first, followed by Becky Lynch and Naomi. Mickie puts herself and Alexa on a pedestal, saying they are the only female Superstars that matter right now. She tells Renee Young to buzz off, and Renee leaves. Mickie then says the Women's Division was built on her obsession to be the best, and accuses Becky Lynch of erasing her accomplishments. After seven years of rage and waiting, she plans to take back the credit that she deserves on Sunday, as the careers of everyone else in the ring are all possible thanks to her, and she plans to destroy Becky as the first step. She signs the contract for her match Becky says she is doing no such thing, and says the main difference between her and Mickie is that she keeps going when it gets tough and she plans to run right through her and slap her back into the past. She then signs the contract for her match. Alexa Bliss says that she deserves respect and that the only thing that runs through Becky is toxic orange hair dye, and that as long as the SmackDown women's title is on her shoulder, the Women's Division is hers. As she signs the contract for her match, she also forgets about Naomi on purpose to get to her, but Naomi reminds Alexa that she pinned her twice and that WrestleMania is in her hometown of Miami, and that she plans to come to 'Mania as Women's Champion. She signs the contract for her match, then tells Alexa to get ready to feel the glow before kicking her in the head from across the table, starting a brawl where Becky Lynch and Naomi come out on top at the end.

The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch), The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) and The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor) beat American Alpha (Jason Jordan and Chad Gable), Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) and the team of Heath Slater and Rhyno.

David Otunga guest stars on Criminal Minds tomorrow night at 9 PM Eastern, 8 PM Central on CBS!

Luke Harper vs. Randy Orton is official for Elimination Chamber.

John Cena beats Randy Orton. During the match, Cena inadvertently backs Orton into the referee, knocking him down and out of the ring. Cena makes Orton tap to the STF, but Bray Wyatt attacks Cena and eventually hits him with Sister Abigail. Luke Harper rushes in and stares down with Bray, then hits him with the discus clothesline. Orton almost hits Harper with the RKO, but Harper pushes Orton into an Attitude Adjustment from Cena. The ref, finally having come to, counts the pinfall.

During Talking Smack, Nikki Bella and Natalya go at it, and Natalya sends Nikki face-first into the glass table.
