Raw Deal - Raw recap for February 8, 2016

On tonight's pre-show, it is reported that Daniel Bryan has announced on Twitter that due to medical reasons, he is announcing his retirement, and that more details are to come later tonight.

We see a video tribute to Daniel Bryan.

Stephanie McMahon starts the show. After shrugging off the "Daniel Bryan" chants, she talks about the Triple Threat Match at Fastlane to decide who faces Triple H and WrestleMania 32. Dean Ambrose shows up and tells Stephanie to get straight to the point and start the contract signing, and calls out Brock Lesnar. Stephanie tries to restore order when Roman Reigns shows up. Roman asks what the hold-up is. Stephanie then introduces Brock Lesnar, who shows up with Paul Heyman. The three men then sign the contract, then Heyman says being attacked by The Authority is nothing compared to being attacked by Brock Lesnar. Ambrose then gets in Lesnar' face, and Lesnar responds by giving a beatdown to both Reigns and Ambrose. Triple H shows up at the top of the ramp, and he and Stephanie are pleased by what Lesnar have done.

We look back at Daniel Bryan's time in the original NXT show back in 2010.

Dolph Ziggler uses the ropes to beat Kevin Owens. Owens is livid after the match.

We look back at Daniel Bryan's United States Championship win at Night of Champions 2010.

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) meet The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley). The Dudleys suggest they team up against The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods), for if any one team if worthy of a Tables Match against The New Day, it's The Dudleys. The Usos are up for the idea.

Charlotte will defend the WWE Divas Championship against Brie Bella at Fastlane.

Charlotte beats Alicia Fox with the Figure Eight.

It's official: The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) and The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) take on The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) and a mystery partner in an eight-man tag team tables match.

It's time for Miz TV. The Miz is still salty about what AJ Styles did to him on last week's show. As he still talks about it, out comes tonight's guest, Chris Jericho. Jericho says the Seattle, Washington audience deserves a Highlight Reel...and we get one, as the Miz TV set gets redecorated. The Miz gets ticked, saying this isn't right, and Jericho realizes we need a stool and a potted plant from Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose respectively, so we get them. The Miz ends up being the guest, and Jericho asks him about his recent match with AJ Styles. Miz mentions that Styles broke his front teeth, and that he had to go to great length to get them fixed. Jericho laughs about it, but Miz then makes fun of Jericho's loss to Styles as an attempt to say that he isn't the only one upstaged by AJ Styles. Jericho says this has been eating him up inside for the last two weeks, then after he asks if AJ Styles can beat him a second time, he says he doubts it because he is the best at what he does. AJ Styles shows up, then Miz attacks Jericho from behind. AJ attacks both men, but he and Jericho work together to toss Miz out of the ring. The two of them stare down, then brawl. Miz is involved again, but Jericho takes him out of the equation once more. Both Styles and Jericho then stare down before Jericho leaves.

We look back at Daniel Bryan's Money In The Bank ladder match win in 2011.

Bray Wyatt beats Ryback. After the match, The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman) attack Ryback.

We look back on the life and times of Team Hell No (Daniel Bryan and Kane).

Renee Young interviews The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) as they clean and analyze a table. They say they'll get a partner for their match eventually.

Dean Ambrose still wants Brock Lesnar. Roman Reigns offers to help him, but Ambrose says he wants Lesnar alone.

Before the next match, The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Adam Rose, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) mention last night's Super Bowl, and Adam Rose says that tonight's top headline will be the "The Florida Gator" (a reference to Titus O'Neil) getting mutilated by "The Radical Mongoose" (himself).

Adam Rose beats Titus O'Neil after the distraction from Heath Slater after Titus plows through The Social Outcasts (Slater, Rose, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) outside the ring.

We look back at SummerSlam 2013, when Daniel Bryan won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for the first time.

Dean Ambrose shows up and mocks the F-5, saying Brock Lesnar can't get the job done. He calls out Lesnar again, telling him to get the job done. He says Suplex City has gone soft, and continue to mock both Lesnar and Paul Heyman. Lesnar and Heyman eventually show up, and Lesnar and Ambrose have a brawl in which Lesnar immediately goes on the warpath and comes up on top. After two F-5's to Ambrose, Lesnar leaves, but Ambrose wants more and Lesnar sees this as he stops and looks back. When he gets back in the ring, Reigns shows up, and Ambrose hits a low blow on a distracted Lesnar. Ambrose lays down on the ramp afterward.

The League of Nations (Alberto Del Rio and Rusev) beat The Lucha Dragons (Sin Cara and Kalisto).

R-Truth meets Goldust, who is dressed up like Jimi Hendrix. Goldust breaks a guitar, then gets carried away by security.

We look back at #OccupyRAW.

Sasha Banks guests on commentary for the next match.

Tamina beats Becky Lynch after Becky comes to Sasha Banks' aid and attacks Naomi only to run back into the ring and into a Tamina super kick. During the match, it is announced that Sasha and Becky will take on Naomi and Tamina at Fastlane.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) recruit Mark Henry for the eight-man tag team tables match...and he quickly gets into the rhythm.

This Thursday on SmackDown: AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho II!

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) and The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) beat The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) and Mark Henry after Henry leaves The New Day high and dry after they boss him around. After the match, The Dudley Boyz turn on The Usos and put both of them through tables.

Daniel Bryan shows up, now with shorter hair and a trimmed beard since the last time that we saw him, looking much like he did back in 2011 and 2012. He says that he cut his hair and beard for Wigs For Kids to benefit children diagnosed with pediatric cancer. Bryan admits he has had three concussions in the first five months of his 16-year career, and has been getting more here and there, but he always turned out fine every time and has loved professional wrestling more than anything else. A week and a half ago, however, he found out his brain may not be as good as he thought it was. Having a family to think about as well as future children, he announces his retirement from professional wrestling. He feels nothing but gratitude after a 16-year career, and talks about some of his favorite things from his career. Daniel Bryan then says he is grateful to have done this, not just because the WWE Universe got behind him in the last two years, but also because the WWE Universe made the last time his dad saw him wrestle before he passed away memorable and because he met his girlfriend (and now wife) Brie Bella through the profession. Tomorrow he starts a new life, but tonight, he gets one last "Yes!" chant. Brie Bella joins him in the ring.

The celebration continues on the WWE Network, where the entire WWE roster including Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Vince McMahon stand at the top of the ramp to thank Daniel Bryan. Daniel Bryan thanks the fans, friends, family, commentary, Lilian Garcia, and finally the locker room.

Here are the top 10 moments from tonight's show!
