Layin' da SmackDown! - SmackDown recap for February 4, 2016

Roman Reigns vs. Rusev ends with interference from Alberto Del Rio and King Barrett. After the match, Rusev, Del Rio and Barrett attack Reigns. Ambrose makes the save, but he ends up accidentally hitting Reigns instead. Rusev puts Ambrose in the Accolade, but Roman Reigns gets back into the ring with the chair, causing Rusev, Del Rio and Barrett to retreat.

Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns will take on Rusev and Alberto Del Rio later tonight.

Renee Young interviews Dean Ambrose backstage. Ambrose says what happened earlier was an accident, and that he and Roman Reigns have an understanding. They have a time where they hit each other and a time where they hit other people. Ambrose says this is the time to hit other people.

Dolph Ziggler guests on commentary for the next match.

Kalisto beats Kevin Owens after Owens powerbombs Kalisto into Ziggler before super kicking the latter. When the action returns to the ring, Ziggler rushes forth and distracts Owens, causing Kalisto to get the win. After the match, Ziggler charges into the ring, sending Owens running. Owens is livid.

Jojo interviews The Miz. He's salty from being snubbed from the Academy Awards, so he's taking his anger out on AJ Styles after what he did earlier this week on Raw.

Ryback, now in trunks, beats Erick Rowan after sending Rowan into Strowman while the latter stands on the apron. After the match, Strowman sends Ryback out of the ring, but Ryback just gets right back up and walks away.

Members of the Memphis Grizzlies are in the crowd tonight.

Renee Young interviews Becky Lynch. Before she can explain her actions on Monday, Sasha Banks shows up. The two of them argue their way into an uneasy alliance over what happened earlier this week on Raw.

Chris Jericho guests on commentary for the next match.

This Monday on Raw: Brock Lesnar live!

AJ Styles beats The Miz with the Calf Crusher. After the match, Chris Jericho gets in the ring and says AJ is good...but is he great, and can he beat Jericho twice? Jericho then challenges AJ Styles to a rematch on next week's SmackDown. AJ Styles shakes on it, then they stare down before Jericho walks away.

Jojo interviews Roman Reigns. Roman says he and Dean Ambrose are never on the same page, but after earlier tonight, it's all good. They plan to win as a team tonight.

Before the next match, The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) brag about being tag team champions. The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Adam Rose, Curtis Axel) show up, say that Bo Dallas is still in the studio laying down tracks as Bo Rida, then make fun of the fact that the tag titles are bronze and call The New Day "rhinoceroseses" before saying they're in the mood to take the tag team titles.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) beat The Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Adam Rose, Curtis Axel) after Kofi puts his feet on the ropes for the pinfall after Curtis Axel is unable to do the same due to Woods pushing his feet off the ropes from the outside.

Charlotte beats Alicia Fox with the Figure Eight.

Goldust meets R-Truth in a hotel trying to become his tag team partner yet again. Truth's clothes go everywhere when they fight over a suitcase. Truth still isn't interested.

Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns beat Alberto Del Rio and Rusev despite the former team having a close call outside the ring near the end of the match.
