Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for September 6, 1998

Gangrel beats Dick Togo.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen waiting outside of the arena drinking a beer.

We see a video from three days ago where "Marvelous" Marc Mero and Jacqueline are in front of a camera. Jacqueline is wearing an evening gown, and her eyes are closed. Mero tells Jacqueline she looks marvelous in her evening gown, and nobody looks more beautiful than her without it, especially Sable. He then springs a surprise on her: another bikini contest trophy to replace the one Sable broke. Jacqueline tells Sable to take a look at the trophy, and Mero says that Sable will never come close to looking like Jacqueline.

Bradshaw beats "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock by disqualification when he is attacked by Vader. Bradshaw fights back with a big boot, then clotheslines Vader out of the ring and brawls with him near the ramp until referees pull them apart. When Shamrock finds out that Bradshaw is the winner, Shamrock is enraged and he runs towards the back.

"Road Dogg" Jesse James beats Dennis Knight by disqualification when he is attacked by "Double J" Jeff Jarrett. After the match, Jarrett and Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight) attack Road Dogg and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn, then X-Pac runs in to even the odds until referees run in to separate both parties.

The Undertaker and Kane vs. L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Darren "Puke" Drozdov) ends in a no-contest. During the match, Road Warrior Hawk announces via telephone that he is heading into rehab tomorrow to deal with his drug problem. At the end of the match, WWF owner Vince McMahon shows up and watches from the stage as Undertaker refuses to let go of a leg bar and Kane choke slams Droz, and Vince approves of the beating he is seeing.

Edge beats Taka Michinoku. After the match, Kane and The Undertaker are seen grabbing Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco down to the ring by their throats, and The Undertaker tells WWF owner Vince McMahon he has ten seconds to get in the ring before he and Kane decimate his top stooges. Vince does not show up before the countdown from ten is over, and The Undertaker and Kane make quick work of Patterson and Brisco.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin kicks at a cameraman as he talks on a cellular phone while waiting outside of the arena.

Before the next match, Val Venis says to make no bones about it, as the ladies will be in "Sunday Night Heat" once they get a taste of "The Big Valbowski."

D'Lo Brown retains the WWF European Championship against Val Venis after untying a turnbuckle cover and sending Val Venis into an exposed turnbuckle, giving Val Venis his first televised loss. During the match, Dustin Runnels is seen in the front row carrying a sign saying "He's Coming Back." After the match, Venis removes the protective vest, powerbombs D'Lo, then puts on D'Lo Brown's chest protector and hits him with the Money Shot.

WWF owner Vince McMahon is in the ring. He says that everyone must be wondering what "the master plan" is as well as why he is wearing black. He says he is wearing black because he is in mourning, because on September 27th, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's reign as WWF Champion will die. He then says that he knows The Undertaker and Kane are looking for him, and he is not hard to find. The Undertaker and Kane show up, and Vince tells him that he publicly and humbly apologize for recently calling them "pussies," as there is no question in anybody's mind that they are the single, most destructive force in the World Wrestling Federation. He then says that The Undertaker truly deserves another chance at being the WWF Champion and deserve a title rematch. He also says that Kane is equally as destructive, and also deserves another shot at holding the title. He then says the only thing missing in the equation is "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, and dares him to stand in front of him if he has the guts. It does not take long at all for Austin to show up, and Vince says he has no idea what the fans see in him. Vince then says Austin has disrespected him and mocked his authority for the very last time, and there is no redeeming value whatsoever that Austin brings to the WWF, and that is why on September 27th, Austin will defend the WWF Championship against Kane and The Undertaker in a Triple Threat Match.
