We see footage of Ernest "The Cat" Miller being separated from someone by WCW security.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund is talking about the event when Chris Jericho shows up and tells Okerlund he has a scoop for him: Goldberg called him on his cellphone, and Jericho challenged him to a match, which Goldberg accepted. Tonight, Jericho will be taking on Goldberg for the first time in a title vs. title match. Jericho says he will snap Goldberg's undefeated streak and become the first dual champion in WCW history.
The British Bulldog and Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart beat The Dancin' Fools (Disco Inferno and Alex Wright). (During the match, The British Bulldog twice lands awkwardly on a trapdoor in the ring that The Warrior would use to mysteriously appear inside of the ring during the main event. Bulldog would suffer a spinal infection that would hospitalize him for six months and nearly paralyze him as a result. This also led to his firing from World Chamapionship Wrestling via FedEx (making this his last televised appearance in WCW), and also led to a morphine and painkillers addiction that would ultimately lead to his divorce from his wife Diana-Hart Smith and a stint in rehab in 2000.)
"Mean" Gene Okerlund says he has heard a rumor that Scott Steiner will not be able to face Rick Steiner tonight. Scott Steiner comes out of his private dressing room with Buff Bagwell, and announces that he is injured again as indicated by the bandages on his left bicep and the bag of ice on his back. Buff has a document signed by Dr. Cecil Schwartz indicating that Scott cannot wrestle. WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon shows up, reads the document, which he deems bogus before telling Scott that he has run out of excuses. Dillon tears the document up, saying that if he was not ready to face Rick, he would be barred from WCW for life, and Dr. Schwartz's document does not change this.
Before the next match, Chris Jericho comes out of his dressing room with his own pair of security guards. In a complete parody of Goldberg's entrace, the three of them have no idea where to go, but eventually make it. When Jericho's pyro hits, it comes out with a whimper rather than a bang, much to Jericho's frustration. When Goldberg comes out, there is no footage of him coming out with his own security, and the man who comes out looks nothing like Goldberg, complete with a toy replica WCW World Heavyweight Championship around his waist. The crowd is anot mused and chants "Bullshit!" during the beginning of the match, and even though the faker hits the Spear, he immediately taps to the Lion Tamer. Chris Jericho beats "Goldberg." After the match, Jericho shoves referee Scott Dickinson after grabbing him by the shirt and tears up "Goldberg's" replica title.
Rick Steiner answers questions for WCW.com, and says he will do what he has to do to teach his brother Scott Steiner a lesson tonight.
We see footage from earlier today of Mike Tenay interviewing Scott and Steve Armstrong. Ernest "The Cat" Miller interrupts before it can begin, saying that the Armstrong brothers aren't worth the time and that he is the greatest. As this occurs, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan can be seen standing through the window in the door behind Tenay. Scott tells them they are conducting an interview, and to show some class. The Cat pretends to leave before attacking both Armstrong brothers, and is then confronted by Norman Smiley. Both The Cat and Smiley have to be keep apart from one another by WCW security.
Before the next match, Ernest "The Cat" Miller tells Norman Smiley that he is a three-time world karate champion and to not touch him like he did again. He tells Smiley he can take a man apart in five seconds, but since Smiley is a brother like he is a brother, he will give five seconds to leave the ring, and if he turns around and sees him, he will eat him alive. Smiley doesn't leave, and he gets the first shot on The Cat as soon as he turns around.
Ernest "The Cat" Miller beats Norman Smiley.
Scott Steiner vs. Rick Steiner ends in no decision. During the match, Rick Steiner hits Buff Bagwell as Bagwell is on the apron in an interference attempt, and Bagwell lays motionless after that, feeling pain in his neck. Rick Steiner does not buy it and is convinced that Buff is faking it, but a stretcher is brought out and Bagwell is carefully placed on it. When Bagwell is placed in the ambulance and Scott Steiner follows him in, both Scott and Bagwell jump out of the ambulance and attack Rick Steiner, revealing it was all a set-up.
Juventud Guerrera retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Silver King.
Konnan answers questions for WCW.com, saying that he still has a lot of love for Scott Hall as he is going through his personal problems, but when he comes to the ring, he needs to leave them at the door. Scott Hall interrupts, and tells Konnan his personal problems are his business. As Konnan and Scott Hall argue, Hall tosses liquid into Konnan's face.
Before the next match, it is announced that Kanyon will be handcuffed at ringside. WCW Executive Committee and WCW security make sure to it that he is, and WCW Director of Security Doug Dellinger hands the key to the handcuffs to referee Mickey Jay. After Saturn shows up, Raven tells him that he has been an embarrassment for far too long, and that tonight is the beginning of eternal indentured servitude. Saturn tells Raven this is about honor, and that Raven has none. He tells Raven that it does not matter if he wins or loses, as he will always keep his integrity.
Saturn beats Raven. During the match, Raven's Flock shows up with a table, and when Kidman goes up top, instead of hitting the Seven Year Itch on Saturn, he hits Raven with a drop kick. Kidman runs away through the crowd while Raven's Flock chases after him. Also, Saturn locks in the Rings of Saturn for the first time in months before hitting Raven and Lodi with a low blow, followed by Raven whipping Saturn intot he corner, sandwiching referee Mickey Jay and allowing Kanyon to free himself from the handcuffs, hit Saturn with the Flatliner, place Raven on top of Saturn and cuff himself back to the turnbuckle before the ref comes to. Saturn still kicks out after all this, and hits Raven with a low blow. Lodi gets put through a table with a Death Valley Driver, and Saturn kicks out of an Evenflow DDT before hitting Raven with a Death Valley Driver to win it. As per pre-match stipulation, Saturn frees himself from potential eternal subservience to Raven's Flock, and Raven's Flock is disbanded forever.
It is announced that according to "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan's wife Debra, Duggan has had a tumor the size of a football removed from his kidney, and that Duggan is heading home from the hospital tomorrow as he is now cancer-free.
Dean Malenko beats Curt Hennig by disqualification after interference by Rick Rude. As Rude and Hennig attack Malenko, "The Enrforcer" Arn Anderson rushes into the ring, but Hennig and Rude take him down and work on Arn's injured left arm.
Halloween Havoc comes live to pay-per-view on October 25th!
Before the next match, Scott Hall enters the wrong ring before doing the nWo survey. It becomes apparent that Scott Hall is drunk, especially after Vincent hands Hall a drink.
Konnan beats an inebriated Scott Hall - who keeps taking a few swigs during the match - with the Tequila Sunrise.
Team WCW (Diamond Dallas Page, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, The Warrior) beat nWo Hollywood (Hollywood Hogan, Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, Stevie Ray) and nWo Wolfpac (Kevin Nash, Sting, Lex Luger) in War Games, with Diamond Dallas Page getting a pinfall on Stevie Ray after a Diamond Cutter. Since Page made the pinfall, he gets a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Halloween Havoc. During the match, Hollywood Hogan shows up early and lays everyone else out with a slapjack, then The Warrior shows up. Hogan attacks The Warrior, but the smoke comes out again and The Warrior vanishes despite Hogan holding his jacket. The Warrior rushes down the aisle and into the ring., and The Disciple helps Hollywood Hogan out of the cage. The Warrior manages to kick his way out of the cage and go after Hogan and The Disciple, and police officers and WCW security have to keep Warrior away from Hogan. DDP then hits Stevie Ray with a Diamond Cutter, and he gets the pinfall and the title shot.
