Faarooq beats Mark Kyle.
We hear from The Rock. The Rock gives a camera crew member a hard time before telling Faarooq that after nearly having his number in recent weeks, he will walk into Over The Edge - and leave it - the best damn Intercontinental Champion there ever was after he beats him.
Taka Michinoku beats Sho Funaki by disqualification. During the match, Men's Teioh and Mr. Yamaguchi-san try to get in through the crowd, but Bradshaw stops them. The match ends when Dick Togo runs in from the back and attacks Taka from behind, and Bradshaw has to chose Togo out of the ring.
"Too Sexy" Brian Christopher beats David Jericho after Jericho inadvertently knocks Scott "Too Hot" Taylor off the apron and into the guardrail.
We hear from Paul Bearer and Kane. Paul Bearer tells Vader that he will not allow Kane's mask to come off and that Vader's mask will be removed before he goes down for the final time.

"Double J" Jeff Jarrett beats Chainz. During the match, Jeff Jarrett tries to run away from the match, but he is stopped by "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman, who attacks Jarrett until referees and officials keep him away from Jarrett. Chainze manages to get Jarrett back into the ring, and Tennessee Lee grabs Chainz by the foot to trip him during a vertical suplex, and refuses to let go as Jarrett pins Chainz. After the match, Jarrett shoves the referee away and chases after Blackman before both of them brawl on the stage.
