Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for September 4, 1995

Steve "Mongo" McMichael makes his commentary and World Championship Wrestling debut tonight.

Flyin' Brian beats Jushin "Thunder" Liger. Brian raises Liger's arm after the match.

Sting tells Ric Flair that there is nobody who can walk down the aisle or lock in the Scorpion Deathlock like him.

Earlier today, Eric Bischoff interviews Hulk Hogan in front of Pastamania. Hulk's eaten so many Hulkaroos and Hulk-U's, and he's putting the WCW World Heavyweight Championship on the line with Pastamania running through his veins. He plans to give Big Bubba Rodgers some of his Hulkaroos before he body slams him again.

Before the next match, Lex Luger makes an unexpected, jarring appearance on WCW programming just eight days after SummerSlam and stares at Sting and Ric Flair from the entrance ramp. Ric Flair and Sting can't believe it.

Sting vs. Ric Flair for the WCW United States Championship ends when Arn Anderson gets in the ring. During the match, Arn Anderson shows up and watches the match from ringside. During Flair's Figure Four Leg Lock, however, Arn Anderson jumps in and beats Ric Flair up, forcing Flair to retreat. Scott "Flash" Norton then shows up, harassing the commentary team and wanting an opponent. "Macho Man" Randy Savage turns him around and challenges him to a match right now. Officials have to keep Flash out of the ring.

We get a look at Sabu, who is coming to WCW soon.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund congratulates Mike Hill of Cullman, Alabama the winner of the WCW Harley-Davidson Sweepstakes. He is the proud owner of a new 1995 Harley-Davidson Softail.

On WCW Saturday Night: Johnny B. Badd takes on "Dirty" Dick Slater! Sting and "Macho Man" Randy Savage takes on The Blue Bloods ("Lord" Steven Regal and "Squire" David Taylor)! Updates about Fall Brawl!

We hear from Michael Wallstreet, who calls the new generation "The Few Generation." He's in WCW for the money and the power. He also makes a reference to the I.R.S. (a reference to his Irwin R. Schyster gimmick from WWF) and says that when you go down the road in WCW, you'll see he's a real player.

It is announced that Scott "Flash" Norton vs. "Macho Man" Randy Savage is official for next week.

Hulk Hogan retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Big Bubba. After the match, however, The Dungeon of Doom (The Taskmaster, Kamala, The Zodiac, The Shark, Meng) shows up, but Lex Luger rushes into the ring and helps out Hogan. Hogan and Luger run into each other and almost come to blows, and at this point the Dungeon of Doom is gone. Sting shows up and has to hold Luger back, while Macho Man shows up to hold Hulk back. Both men are still able to argue with each other, however.

Fall Brawl is September 17th, supporting the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interview both Lex Luger and Hulk Hogan. Lex Luger says he's here for one reason and one reason only: the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. He's been where Hogan's been and he's beaten the same people that Hogan has beaten, and now he's here to take on the big boys. He'll wait as long as it takes to get a title shot. Hogan tells him that he doesn't have to prove himself to him and accepts his challenge for the title for next week. Both men then get in a shoving match and have to be held back.

Next week: Sabu! Michael Wallstreet!

Steve "Mongo" McMichael is carrying a small dog in a devil costume at the end of the show.
