Raw Deal - Raw recap for August 8, 1994

The Undertaker beats Butch Banks.

Leslie Nielsen has been tracking down leads for "The Case of the Undertakers," but the trail has run cold every time.

Before the next match, "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase has a friendly exchange with Lex Luger. It doesn't seem like Luger wants any part of what looks like an offer from DiBiase, however. After the commercial break, DiBiase tells Vince McMahon and "Macho Man" Randy Savage that he told Luger not to worry about a thing.

Lex Luger beats Chad Miller.

It is announced that Pro Football Hall of Famer "Sweetness" Walter Payton will be in Razor Ramon's corner in his match against Diesel for the WWF Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam. Also, Alundra Blayze will defend the WWF Women's Championship against Bull Nakano, Mabel will take on "Double J" Jeff Jarrett, and The Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu) will defend the WWF Tag Team Championships against Irwin R. Schyster and Bam Bam Bigelow. Also, it's official: Lex Luger and Tatanka will square off at SummerSlam.

Irwin R. Schyster and Bam Bam Bigelow beat Doink and Tatanka when Tatanka unwittingly distracts the referee . After the match, Tatanka fights both I.R.S. and Bam Bam alone after Doink is tossed out of the ring. Lex Luger rushes in to help, but he is too late. He and "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase have a confrontation, and DiBiase shoves a stack of money in Luger's hand before leaving. Tatanka comes to and confronts Luger, and notices the money still in Luger's hand. Both men argue, and officials have to keep the men separated as I.R.S. try to stir the pot further.

Next week on Raw: The 1-2-3 Kid vs. "The King of Harts" Owen Hart!

It's time for The King's Court. "The King" Jerry Lawler's guest this week is whom he considers true royalty: "The King of Harts" Owen Hart, who shows up with "The Anvil" Jim Neidhart. Owen considers his SummerSlam match with Bret "Hitman" Hart a dream come true after years of dealing with him. He paints Bret as a bully since childhood and tells Lawler that his entire family has come around and sided with him. Lawler says there's still one family member who's still behind Bret, and Lawler has him on the show right now: Bruce Hart, who shows up and tells Owen that nobody in the family is on his side and calls him out on relying on Nedihart to become King of the Ring. He calls Owen a disgrace to the family, and both Bruce and Owen argue. Bruce tells Owen that there will be nobody to protect him in the steel cage at SummerSlam. Neidhart says there's one jealous brother in the family, and Bruce tells Neidhart that the jealous brother is him. The segment ends with Bruce continuing to argue with Owen and The Anvil.

Bob Backlund beats Kevin Krueger with the Crossface Chicken Wing. Backlund refuses to let go of the hold for several seconds, then finally releases it and looks at his hands.

Next week: Paul Bearer and "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase on The King's Court!

Cameras have caught up with Lex Luger, who is looking for "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, but he is soon followed by Tatanka, and the show ends with Tatanka and Luger in a shoving match.
