Tonight's episode airs from the WWE studios, where Sunday Night Slam was also hosted. Tonight's broadcast is a recap of that event, albeit with re-dubbed commentary.
Lex Luger beats Crush after the distraction from "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase. During the match, DiBiase shows up to watch the match, and goes so far as to try to bribe Crush into leaving Lex Luger alone. Crush slaps the money out of his hand, but Crush is still distracted by DiBiase and Lex Luger takes advantage of it to hit the running forearm smash.
Ray Rougeau interviewed Bret "The Hit Man" Hart on Superstars for Sunday Night Slam. Bret tells his brother "The King of Harts" Owen Hart that SummerSlam will be a completely different ballgame compared to WrestleMania 10. He says that the battle between him and Owen will conclude in the steel cage, and that everyone in the family will be coming to Chicago, Illinois to see this come to an end. Bret then calls Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart fat and stupid, and tells Neidhart he's on the outside looking in at SummerSlam. He then tells Owen that he will be crying himself a river as Bret himself climbs out of the cage in one week.
The World Wrestling Federation Superstars take on the Chicago Area Media All-Stars in a special charity softball game on Sunday, August 28th at 1 PM at Northwestern University. Admission is a $5 donation.
Diesel beats Typhoon.
Raw will not air for the next two weeks due to the U.S. Open.
