Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for September 6, 2019

Havok vs. Su Yung ends in a no-contest after both women spend too much time outside of the ring and Su Yung spits red mist in Havok's face.

We hear from The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander). Page says they are focused on saying farewell to The Latin-American Xchange (Santana and Ortiz) forever and thanking them for putting their careers on the line, as they will put what they love on the line, too. Alexander states that they have put their careers on the line at times, too, and says that after tonight, it will be goodbye forever for LAX. Page says that LAX may have lost the tag team titles four times, but they will only have one reign that lasts forever.

We hear from oVe (Sami Callihan, Jake Crist, Dave Crist, Madman Fulton). Sami Callihan is in a good mood tonight, as they are getting what they need. He states that Impact management will either make "The Machine" Brian Cage relinquish the title or let him kick Cage's ass. In the meantime, Madman Fulton - who is wandering around in the background - will have a little fun.

Naomichi Marufuji is confirmed for Bound For Glory.

Moose beats Fallah Bahh. After the match, Moose puts Fallah Bahh in an ankle lock to send a message to Ken Shamrock.

Backstage, Tessa Blanchard tells Tommy Dreamer that she is sick and tired of dealing with Sami Callihan, and says she wants to deal with him and oVe once for all. When she asks if he is with her, Dreamer says yes.

Backstage, Alisha Edwards talks with Eddie Edwards, who says that he will lighten up on Ace Edwards when a woman in a green dress shows up and tries to hit on Eddie until Alisha stops her. Alisha then slaps Eddie and tells him she hates him. Ace Austin shows up, then Alisha walks away. Austin calls Eddie "a real piece of shit."

TJP beats Golden Magic with the knee bar.

Ace Austin meets the woman in the green dress and is about to pay her off when Alisha Edwards shows up. Austin pretends to talk down to her before running off with Alisha.

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is AJ Styles vs. Sting from Bound For Glory 2009.

Backstage, Taya Valkyrie says that everything should be about her tonight, but Tennille Dashwood is here. She then shoots down ideas on what to do from John E. Bravo before leaving.

We hear from Johnny Swinger, who says he is here to chew gum and hop the territories as he works out and talks to some women.

Backstage, Jimmy Jacobs interviews Tenille Dashwood when Madison Rayne and Kiera Hogan show up. Madison Rayne introduces herself, and Kiera tells Tenille not to cut in line. Tenille takes this as a challenge, and this leads to Tenille taking on Kiera - at Madison's slight proposition - next week.

Rob Van Dam beats Madman Fulton by disqualification after Dave Crist pushes RVD off the top rope as he goes for the Five Star Frog Splash. After the match, Fulton goes for a big boot to RVD, but accidentally boots Dave Crist instead. Dave Crist ends up falling victim to the Five Star Frog Splash.

Backstage, Jimmy Jacobs tries to get a word with "The Machine" Brian Cage, but Melissa Santos shows up instead and says Cage will answer all his questions in the ring.

At the treehouse, Trey Miguel shows up without "the stuff." As Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz choke the life out of him, William Mack and Rich Swann show up and put two and two together. Everyone then gets high. Swann and Mack then mentions The Latin-American Xchange vs. The North for later tonight, then after mentioning their recent tag team wars, the five of them party.

At the Deaner compound, Gama Singh says he has a plan to ensure The Desi Hit Squad never loses again. They then head to the fishing pool, and Rohit Raju ends up falling into the pond.

Jordynne Grace meets with Rosemary in her lair to tell her to stay out of her business. Rosemary says she does not take orders from her - and says that this is not even of her own accord - as she only takes orders from "the shadow." She also says that sometimes it takes time to understand why "the shadow" wants her to do something, and states that she would not be "playing" with Jordynne if it were up to her.

Next week: Ace Austin vs. Eddie Edwards! Kiera Hogan vs. Tenille Dashwood! oVe (Jake Crist and Sami Callihan) vs. Tessa Blanchard and Tommy Dreamer in a Street Fight!

Before the next match, Konnan says tonight is do or die time and that LAX (Santana and Ortiz) will not be leaving Impact, as they represent so much more and done it all. He says they will prove why they are the best of all time one more time tonight.

The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) retain the Impact Tag Team Championships against The Latin-American Xchange (Santana and Ortiz). As per pre-match stipulation, LAX are gone from Impact Wrestling. (In reality, they have signed a deal with All Elite Wrestling.) After the match, Konnan, Santana and Ortiz hug in the center of the ring.

"The Machine" Brian Cage shows up with Melissa Santos. Cage says he has dreamed what it would be like to be a world champion his whole life, and after working hard for 14 years, he finally made it happen. However, he never thought that he would be injured and continuously sidelined, and nobody is more upset than him. So far, he has only defended the title once, and doctors have announced that he will be clear in six weeks - just in time for Bound For Glory. He also says that the only way the Impact World Championship is leaving him is over his dead body, and he plans to beat Sami Callihan and defend the title again. He then says that the best part of his injury was that he got to spend time with the person he loved the most. After laying the World title down, he gets down on one knee and proposes to Melissa Santos. Melissa says yes, and they are officially engaged.

Here are the top five moments from tonight's show!

We hear from Sami Callihan, who calls Tessa Blanchard "a sore loser" for her actions last week and says that when you take on one member of oVe (Sami Callihan, Jake Crist, Dave Crist, Madman Fulton), you take them all on. He says that Tessa should have learned her lesson not to mess his with him. As for his World title shot, it has been four weeks and he has no idea when he will get it, and accuses Impact management of coddling "The Machine" Brian Cage before stating that they have one more week to tell him when he will get his shot, or else oVe will cause chaos and burn Impact to the ground.
