Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for July 8, 2015

Ethan Carter III and Tyrus start the show. He announces that Dixie Carter has given him free reign to book tonight's show, and that he's making history by defending the TNA World title three times tonight . No sooner does he say this that Matt Hardy shows up to announce that he wants a piece of the World title picture, and challenges him to a match for the title. Ethan Carter III wants nothing to do with him, but Matt Hardy tells EC3 that he's still ready to beat his ass. Tyrus gets in Hardy's way, and EC3 pits Hardy in a 2-on-1 match against The Dirty Heels (Bobby Roode and Austin Aries). Ethan Carter guests on commentary for this match.

The Dirty Heels (Bobby Roode and Austin Aries) beat Matt Hardy in a 2-on-1 handicap match when Bobby Roode holds down one of Hardy's legs.

The Rising (Drew Galloway, Eli Drake, Micah) are in the ring as a unit one last time. They came to TNA to take down The Beat Down Clan (MVP, Kenny King, Homicide, Hernandez), but came up short. Galloway thanks Micah and Eli Drake for being at his side, and Micah and Drake return the favor. Galloway says wrestling's future is still bright, and that this isn't the end but only the beginning. Ethan Carter III makes fun of Galloway's plight, saying that he's booked him in a 3-on-3 match and Galloway doesn't have any tag team partners. His opponents are Abyss, Manik and Khoya of The Revolution.

Drew Galloway beats The Revolution (Abyss, Manik, Khoya) after miscommunication between Abyss and Khoya.

Mr. Anderson congratulates Ethan Carter III on his World title win, and asks for a title shot against him tonight. He doesn't get a title shot, but he does have a match with Bram tonight...and it's up next.

Mr. Anderson beats Bram by disqualification when Bram refuses to listen to the referee. He then takes Mr. Anderson's microphone, mocks him with it, hits him in the head with, then rips it off of the microphone cord as he continues to use it as weapon as officials try to get Bram off of Anderson.

Jessie Godderz beats Robbie E in a Street Fighter after Jessie uses a chair to lock in an Adonis Crab that Robbie can't escape.

Lashley runs into Ethan Carter III backstage. Lashley isn't getting a title shot, either, but EC3 does put him in a match with Tyrus tonight.

Kurt Angle has a document in his hands...and says that Ethan Carter III's night is about to get a little more interesting.

We get another part of the Jeff Jarrett interview.

Ethan Carter III announces his first of three opponents that he is defending the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against is none other than Norv Fernum, whom he haven't seen in a while...and quickly beats him. His next opponent is Shark Boy...and EC3 quickly beats him. Before the third match can happen, Kurt Angle shows up with the document he had earlier, and states that the document is a legally binding contract that lets him have his World title rematch anytime he wants...and elects to have that rematch tonight. Lashley then shows up for his match with Tyrus.

Ethan Carter III guests on commentary for the next match.

Lashley beats Tyrus after heaving him up for an impressive Electric Chair before the Spear.

We get even more of the interview with Jeff Jarrett.

Before their match, Madison Rayne tells Velvet Sky that she looks like "the idiots in the crowd" and that she doesn't belong in a TNA ring. Not surprisingly, a stone-faced Velvet Sky kicks Madison in the gut.

Velvet Sky beats Madison Rayne.

The superstars of TNA came to Camp Boggy Creek near Orlando in Eustis, Florida to perform a charity show and meet-and-greet for kids with chronic and life-threatening illnesses.

Kurt Angle beats Ethan Carter III by disqualification after EC3 knocks out referee Earl Hebrner, but EC3 still retains the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Dixie Carter is here...

Ethan Carter III introduces his aunt Dixie Carter, who hasn't been on television in almost a year. After EC3 puts himself on a pedestal, Dixie Carter says that she's not the same woman who was put through a table by Bully Ray, that EC3 is the monster now, and that the company belongs to the people, signalling a face turn. She calls EC3's actions tonight an embarassment, and that he should use his skills and not his last name to keep the World title. Dixie says EC3 is right in saying TNA needs a leader, but it's not her...or Ethan...
