Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for April 17, 2015

The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) beat The Revolution ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Khoya) to advance to the Ultimate X Match later tonight for the vacant TNA World Tag Team Championships. Storm shoves Khoya for letting him down. Jeremy Borash interviews the Hardys after the match, and they make it clear they want the tag team gold.

Eric Young tells Kurt Angle he's coming for the World title.

Eric Young shows up. He says that Kurt Angle is ducking, and he'll do anything to get to him. Angle shows up, and EY tells Angle he sees a man who can be hurt and can be hurt really badly, while Angle sees somebody whose craziness has gotten the better of him. Angle gives Eric Young a choice: he can either be the old Eric Young, or he can be the new Eric Young he is now who likes to attack people from behind. He turns around to give Eric Young the chance to hit him from behind, but Eric Young simply tells him "I'll see you next week."

Mr. Anderson saves Rockstar Spud from a backstage beating at the hands of Low Ki and Kenny King.

The Beat Down Clan (Low Ki and Kenny King) beat Mr. Anderson and Rockstar Spud to advance to the Ultimate X Match by distracting the referee with a steel chair...and it works.

Ethan Carter III and Bram are ready for tag team action against Tigre Uno and whoever tags with him...and EC3 is the sane one in this partnership.

After being proud of Low Ki and Kenny King's efforts earlier tonight, MVP gives recent recruit Homicide some Beat Down Clan business: fight Kurt Angle.

Ethan Carter III and Bram beat Tigre Uno and Jay Rios to advance to the Ultimate X Match. When Bram confronts EC3 for taking the pinfall away from him, Tyrus stands between him and EC3 to break it up.

Kurt Angle has seen a glimpse of the old Eric Young. As for Homicide, Angle says he had better be ready tonight.

The Knockouts - Gail Kim, Brooke, Taryn Terrell, Angelina Love and Madison Rayne - come out for a special announcement: TKO: A Night of Knockouts is next week! Angelina Love wants all the attention, but as Gail Kim says it's about everyone, Madison Rayne takes the mike and says she's Queen Bee of the Knockouts. More is announced: Gail Kim, Brooke, Angelina Love and Madison Rayne are in a four-way #1 contender's match, new Knockouts will debut, and Taryn Terrell defends the Knockouts title against Awesome Kong. Kong shows up and this starts a brawl between all the Knockouts, which ends with Taryn Terrell hitting a flying cross body on everybody else.

Austin Aries and Bobby Roode try to drive a wedge between Robbie E and Jessie Godderz.

Austin Aries and Bobby Roode beat The Bro Mans (Robbie E and Jessie Godderz) to advance to the Ultimate X Match. Robbie E and Jessie Godderz finally implode after the match, and when DJ Z tries to break it up, neither man wants any of it.

Kurt Angle and Homicide brawl backstage. The brawl spills into the arena after the commercial break, As Angle puts Homicide in the Ankle Lock Submission, the rest of the Beat Down Clan - MVP, Low Ki and Kenny King - show up and outnumber Kurt Angle until The Rising (Drew McIntyre, Mykah and Eli Drew) take them out of the occasion, leaving MVP along in the ring with Angle. As he is about to hit Angle with a steel chair, Eric Young shows up and stops MVP from hitting Angle with it. Eric Young then picks up the chair after MVP leaves, then drops it in full view of Kurt Angle before walking away.

The Dollhouse (Jade and Marti Bell) debut next week!

The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) beat the team of Ethan Carter III and Bram, the team of Bobby Roode and Austin Aries and The Beat Down Clan (Kenny King and Low Ki) in an Ultimate X match to become the new TNA World Tag Team Champions. In their time in TNA, this is the first time they have held the tag team belts. It is also their first tag team title reign in eight years.
