Raw Deal - Raw recap for September 1, 2014

It's Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel! Tonight's guest is Randy Orton, who comes out to the ring...but he's not alone. Kane, Triple H and Seth Rollins come out with him. Triple H and Jericho joke around, then Triple H tells Jericho he should thank him for making this Highlight Reel the most memorable one in history, as he has looked at John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar and has been considering making someone else the #1 contender for Lesnar's WWE World Heavyweight title. Orton, Rollins and Kane all want a shot. When Jericho says he wants a shot as well, John Cena shows up and immediately confronts Triple H, reminding of his loss via the STF at WrestleMania 22. Cena says that if Triple H reneges on Cena vs. Lesnar at Night of Champions, then he will sue Triple H and take him to court. Triple H doesn't care, but Rollins and Orton asks him to reconsider it. Jericho reminds Orton he's not doing so hot lately, especially against Roman Reigns, whom Orton considers "nothing" as well as someone he could drop where he stands. Roman Reigns shows up and says Orton is all talk before reminding Seth Rollins they have unfinished business. Reigns also wants a title shot. Triple H then gives everyone a chance to prove themselves in a six-man tag match, with Kane, Orton and Rollins taking on Cena, Jericho and Reigns, with Triple H watching from ringside. As everyone leaves, Rollins tries to attack Reigns with the Money In The Bank briefcase, but Reigns makes him pay.

The Miz and Cesaro beat Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus after Damien Sandow runs interference.

Nikki Bella explains how her sister Brie Bella stole her high school boyfriend and prom date Ryan.

Naomi, Summer Rae and Layla vs Cameron, Rosa Mendes and Eva Marie ends in a no-contest.

"The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry and Big Show beat The Wyatt Family (Luke Harper and Erick Rowan) by disqualification after Rusev interferes, attacking Henry. When The Wyatts come into the ring with chairs, Big Show scares them off.

Nikki Bella says that her sister Brie Bella has always been jealous, especially when Brie failed her driver's test, took Nikki's car and crashed it.

Michael Sam will be on Raw next week if he accepts WWE's invitation! (Michael Sam's guest appearance ends up never happening, and the YouTube video of such invitation is hastily removed.)

Paul Heyman shows up and says Brock Lesnar will destroy John Cena again at Night of Champions.

Jack Swagger beats Curtis Axel with the Patriot Lock. Bo Dallas is at the top of the ramp, with a few Americans who were let down by Jack Swagger's recent losing streak, and he takes shots at Jack Swagger's belief in "We The People," as he is converting them into Bo-lievers.

Adam Rose beats Titus O'Neil thanks to the distraction by the bunny...who then helps Adam Rose double-team Heath Slater!

Nikki Bella talks about how her sister Brie Bella has always been self-centered, conniving and jealous, especially with her high school grades.

Rusev beats Zack Ryder with the Accolade. After the match, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry shows up and forces Rusev to retreat, and makes it clear that not only is Rusev not invincible, but that there's a new international wing of the Hall of Pain and that Rusev will be the first inductee!

Triple H talks with Stephanie McMahon backstage about Nikki Bella...and Stephanie has a wonderful announcement for her...

Stephanie McMahon shows up. She brings out Nikki Bella, and tells her she's the face of the Divas Division that she wants. As a result, she gives Nikki Bella a shot at the Divas title. Brie Bella shows up and confronts Nikki for all the lies she's told tonight as well as getting the title shot for it, but Nikki Bella just trash talks her down until AJ Lee shows up, wanting her championship rematch clause, Paige shows up as well. Nikki then says she'll forgive Brie, but only if she sacrifices for her as much as she'd sacrifice for her...and tells her to quit. Brie then pushes Nikki into Paige, and AJ Lee picks up the Divas title before skipping around the ring. She runs into Stephanie, who tells her to give her title. She does, then skips away.

Next week on Raw: Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt in a steel cage match!

Bray Wyatt says that he will beat Chris Jericho in the steel cage next week.

When Goldust and Stardust try to apologize to The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) again, they get beat up.

Goldust beats Jimmy Uso thanks to the distraction by Stardust. Goldust and Stardust then attack Jey Uso again, with Stardust smashing a steel chair into Jey's injured leg.

"The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry tells Big Show he has to take on Rusev himself despite their promise to dominate the tag team division. Big Show gives him his support.

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon show up to watch the next match from ringside.
