Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for March 7, 2013

Kurt Angle will reveal who the Aces and Eights leader is tonight...and he's really not happy!

Austin Aries enters the ring. He can't find Bobby Roode, but he was still able to get the job done last week. Bully Ray and Jeff Hardy didn't appreciate his kind wishes for them at Lockdown, though, and Aries calls out Hardy and challenges to a fight right here, right now. Hardy shows up, but Aries attacks him before he can enter the ring.

As Austin Aries fights Jeff Hardy, "The Blueprint" Matt Morgan shows up and hits Hardy with the Carbon Footprint. Before he can do any more damage, Bully Ray confronts him, causing Morgan to flee.

Sting has James Storm, Magnus, Samoa Joe and EricYoung in the room, and he riles them up for the incoming war on Aces and Eights at Lockdown! Both Aces and Eights and Team TNA are having a best-of-three series tonight!

Kurt Angle's on his way to the ring...

Matt Morgan tells us he's about to make good on his promise to win the world title.

Wes Brisco enters the ring. He makes fun of Kurt Angle and calls him worthless as he brags about how good he thinks he is. Kurt Angle shows up and tells him if he doesn't respect him, he doesn't respect the business. He then decides to beat up Brisco right now. The two men fight, and D'Lo Brown, Bruce Pritchard and Al Snow have to keep them apart. All is well...until D'Lo Brown (out of all the backstage men in the ring) beats everyone up and joins Wes Brisco. It's official: D'Lo Brown is VP and ringleader of Aces and Eights.

D'Lo Brown says he's proud to be part of Aces and Eights, and sends Devon out into the ring to represent against Sting!

Devon beats Sting after a fan in the crowd attacks Sting with a beer bottle.

As Velvet Sky talks about how it's great to be Knockouts champion, Gail Kim confronts her only to get slapped.

Ivelisse Velez is elimated from Gut Check, and Lei'D Tapa continues on.

Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels and Kazarian) and Gail Kim beat Chavo Guerrero, Hernandez and Velvet Sky.

An angry Sting gets his troops focused!

When a camera crew gets another update on AJ Styles, Styles instantly accosts the crew and tells them to leave.

Samoa Joe and Magnus reunite as a tag team for Team TNA and beat Garrett Bischoff and D.O.C. to tie up the best-of-three series.

Kenny King is ready to take on all comers!

Eric Young gets serious and asks Sting to put him in the last match. Sting goes with James Storm but tells Young "you're my wild card."

Lei'D Tapa is voted into the TNA roster by the Gut Check judges.

Robbie E is tired of Robbie T outshining him...and he's going to take care of that problem once and for all at Lockdown!

Aces and Eights walk to ringside as James Storm takes on Mr. Anderson. Team TNA shows up, but Mr. Anderson hits the Mic Check as Storm is distracted to win the match and the series.

Bully Ray and Jeff Hardy meet in the ring. Both men have a lot of respect for each other, but Bully Ray has to win the world title if he wants to respect himself. Aces and Eights show up, and as both men fight them off, Team TNA shows up and evens the odds as the show closes out.

After the show, Bully Ray hands the TNA World Heavyweight Championship back to Jeff Hardy, and tells  Jeremy Borash he's ready for Lockdown. Jeff Hardy thanks the fans as an era ends.

The Impact Zone
2005 - 2013
Thanks for the memories, Universal.

Sheesh, it's like watching a young boy grow up into a amazingly stellar young adult. With that, I might as well use a comment from the video. It was a top comment shortly after the video was uploaded, but it fits in really well, as funny as it is.

"Somewhere in Stamford, Connecticut sits an elderly Irish man fully aware that his competition is creeping up on him faster than a limo explosion."

- "Jack Bauer"

It's felt like that for a while, but it's definitely become reality. Can't wait for what happens after Lockdown...
