He says it is safe to say he has been through hell to get to where he is at, and looking back at everything that Triple H and the McMahons have done to him, he still stands in the ring and he is still heading to Backlash. However, he realizes it is not over yet and that they have one more night to do something to him, and asks what exactly they are going to do to him this time, bring up ideas such as a steel cage match or a "Stephanie [McMahon-Helmsley]'s dirty panties on a pole match." He then calls the McMahons and Triple H out, and tells them to bring out whatever idea for a match they have for him. D-Generation X (Triple H and "Road Dogg" Jesse James), Tori, WWF Chairman Vince McMahon and WWF co-owners Shane McMahon and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley all show up, and Triple H says that The Rock had some pretty good ideas for matches, and that they have all been thinking that same question for the last few days. He then credits Stephanie with coming up with some ideas that are "absolutely brutal" before saying he has kicked The Rock's ass so many times that he is starting to get boring and redundant. He proposes waiting until Sunday so he can kick his ass for the WWF Championship one last time, then says that The Rock is seeming tense tonight and tells him to relax. He tells The Rock to take the night off, as everyone else in his party also have the night off and will be relaxing as they watch "Road Dogg" Jesse James as he destroys Christian tonight. Since Edge might get involved, and says that if he does, he and Christian will be stripped of the WWF Tag Team Championships as he and Stephanie will not put up with people interfering in other people's matches. Vince then takes the microphone and says he knows The Rock is excited about Backlash, and so is he. He also says that Shane is very excited about Backlash, as they will not have "an Earl Hebner situation" again with Shane as the special guest referee for the WWF Championship match at Backlash. He then says The Rock is "gutsy" for calling Triple H and the McMahons out, then brings up whether or not The Rock can trust "Stone Cold" Steve Austin at Backlash again before telling him not to trust anybody. The Rock then tells Vince that he has spoken with Austin, and says that Austin doesn't want to wait until Backlash and "guaran-damn-tees" Austin is going to make a special appearance tonight. Vince says The Rock is "a damn liar" and says Austin would never show up tonight because he doesn't have the temerity to do it. The Rock tells Vince to shut up, as he guarantees to walk out of Backlash a WWF Champion and guarantees that Austin is here tonight.
