"Mean" Gene Okerlund mentions that some prominent names in wrestling are in the back tonight, and that and the results of tonight's show are on the WCW Hotline later tonight.

Before the next match, it is announced that Raven must wrestle, and that Raven's Flock (Kidman, Lodi, Sick Boy, Scotty Riggs, Van Hammer) is banned from ringside. It is noted that Saturn is absent. Raven says that once again, society has tried to make him conform to its rules, and left him all alone. He's been left alone before for weeks at a time as a child, and was friendless all through school and doesn't need anyone. He tells "The Crippler" Chris Benoit he doesn't feel his pain, instead, he'll feast on it.

"The Crippler" Chris Benoit beats Raven in an anything goes match with the Crippler Crossface. Raven smiles and laughs before he passes out from the hold. After the match, Kidman shows up and tries to attack Benoit from up top, but Dean Malenko rushes in and stops him before putting him in the Texas Cloverleaf. This leads to the rest of Raven's Flock (Lodi, Scotty Riggs, Van Hammer, Sick Boy, Sick Boy) attacks Malenko, and Benoit takes Raven out of the Crippler Crossface to help Malenko out as Van Hammer carries Raven out to the back. Benoit and Malenko give each other a look of respect, then Malenko leaves.

Chris Jericho shows up in a Rey Mysterio Jr. shirt before the next match, and Mike Tenay guests on commentary.

Chris Jericho beats Rey Mysterio Jr. to win the WCW Cruiserweight Championship after reversing a top rope hurricanrana into the Lion Tamer.. After the match, Jericho says the greatest moment in his life and says that the people like him. The crowd continues to boo him, then attacks Rey's injured leg and tearing the brace off to give them a reason to boo. He then chains Rey's injured leg to the steel steps before taking a steel box from underneath the ring and ramming it straight into Rey's kneecap. Jericho keeps apologizing as he heads to the back, and two referees have to carry Rey to the back.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon, who says that he has consulted outside sources, including former Interim Commissioner "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, who has had his respect for many years. Piper is then introduced to the ring, marking his first appearance since Halloween Havoc. Piper says that when things get tough, he is the independent counsel. He knows he was the mind behind Starrcade's match between Sting and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan, and says it's time to make some decisions on this match that will stick. Piper says he knows Hogan knows how to "slip and slide" and keep the World title, and says he has Sting up in the rafters and dropping down when he wants to. He also says that Scott Hall has a legitimate beef as well as Eric Bischoff stirring the pot. Piper says they will not be sparing the rod, and asks that Sting be brought out to the ring. Sting shows up, then asks that Hogan and Scott Hall come to the ring, which they do along with Eric Bischoff. Piper says that Scott Hall deserves his World title shot from winning World War 3, as he respects Hall for what he has done. Since there is no World Heavyweight Champion, however, Hall will have to wait until SuperBrawl to get his shot. Piper then says he can understand where Hogan is coming from, but he is not simply going to hand him the belt. He announces that Sting and Hogan will have a rematch for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at SuperBrawl until they find out who the real World champion is. Hogan demands he be given the belt back, but Sting stops Hogan before he can place a hand on Piper. Scott Hall walks away the moment Hogan needs him, and Hogan and Bischoff retreat before telling Hogan that since he likes to say that tradition bites, tradition just bit him in the butt.

Booker T retains the WCW World Television Championship against Rick Martel. Martel takes the title from the referee, then personally ahnds it to him. Booker T shakes his hand in return, and as Booker T leaves, Saturn of Raven's Flock finally shows up and attacks Martel from behind.

Before the next match, Scott Hall comes out with Louie Spicolli, while "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko heads to the ring with Dusty Rhodes, who leaves the commentary table to stand in Zbyszko's corner.

"The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko beats Scott Hall by disqualification. Louie Spicolli tries to interfere in the match, but Dusty Rhodes his Spicolli with the Bionic Elbow. He then goes for Scott Hall, but Scott Hall ducks out of the way and Dusty nails Zbyszko instead. Scott Hall then points at Dusty, who removes his denim button-down shirt to reveal an nWo shirt underneath. Hall, Spicolli and Dusty then hit Zbyszko with elbows after the match.

The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) and Ray Traylor beat Vicious and Delicious (Scott Norton and Buff Bagwell) and Konnan. Bagwell and Scott Steiner have words after the match, and Ted DiBiase and Ray Traylor chastise Scott for not wanting to be a team player.

Kevin Nash beats The Giant after Eric Bischoff gets on the apron to distract The Giant, allowing "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan to pass Nash a pot of hot coffee. The Giant choke slams Bischoff, but as the referee checks on The Giant, Nash tosses the pot of hot coffee into The Giant's face, allowing him to hit the Jackknife Power Bomb, drop The Giant on the back of his head and neck and get the win.

It is announced that "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Sting will square off for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at SuperBrawl VIII, which will take place live on pay-per-view on February 22nd.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart beats "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair with the Sharpshooter in his WCW debut.

Lex Luger beats "Macho Man" Randy Savage with the Torture Rack. During the match, it is announced that Rey Mysterio Jr.'s left knee has been injured. Also during the match, Scott Hall shows up with a steel chair along with "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan who is trying to stop him, and is about to hit Savage with it when Luger sends Savage into Hall prior to the Torture Rack. After the match, Luger is attacked by the New World Order, but Sting rushes into the ring and fights them all off. Sting puts Hogan in the Scorpion Death Lock while Luger puts Kevin Nash in the Torture Rack to end the show.
