WrestleMania 13 - The Recap

Billy Gunn beats Flash Funk in the Free For All.

After some archival footage of the original Blackjacks (Blackjack Mulligan and Blackjack Lanza), Todd Pettengill interviews The New Blackjacks (Blackjack Windham and Blackjack Bradsahw). They plan to become victorious in the Blackjack fashion and become the tag team champs. Bradshaw dares the big men to step up to the challenge against them.

The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) beat The New Blackjacks (Blackjack Windham and Blackjack Brashaw), the team of Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon, and The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) in a four-team elimination match to become #1 contenders for the WWF Tag Team Championships. The New Blackjacks eliminate themselves after Blackjack Bradshaw shoves the referee.

"Captain" Lou Albano and Arnold Skaaland are seen in the front row as The Honky Tonk Man rocks out in the ring before Honky guests on commentary.

Rocky Maivia retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship against The Sultan. Tony Atlas is seen in the crowd sitting next to "Captain" Lou Albano before the match begins. After the match, The Sultan attacks Rocky during a post-match interview from Jim Ross, and The Iron Sheik puts Rocky in the Camel Clutch. Amazingly, Rocky's father, the great Rocky Johnson shows up to fight them off, but when he tends to his son, The Sultan attakcs Rocky Johnson with his flag before tearing his shirt off. Rocky Maivia manages to get back up and knocks The Sultan out of the ring before scoop slamming The Iron Sheik together with his father.

Todd Pettengill interviews Ken Shamrock. Shamrock said he told Billy Gunn who he was as he gives a play-by-play of what he did to him on Raw. He makes it clear that he will not be intimidated by Bret "The Hit Man" Hart and/or "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

Dok Hendrix interviews Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Hunter insists we don't need to know anything about Chyna, and says he can take Goldust one-on-one. However, Marlena will be the biggest loser, as she had the chance and she turned it down. He hopes Marlena's best talent is running with Chyna at ringside tonight.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley beats Goldust when Goldust is distracted by Chyna confronting Marlena at ringside. Goldust picks up Marlena and places her on the apron, but Helmsley knees Goldust from behind, launching Marlena into Chyna, who immediately bear hugs her before Helmsley applies the Pedigree to Goldust. Goldust confronts a hurt Marlena after the match, then carries her to the back.

"The Hearbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels tries to figure out how a computer works while chatting with fans on America On-Line.

Owen Hart - now carrying two Slammy Awards to the ring - quickly puts an end to Jim Ross asking him and The British Bulldog questions before the next match, saying that Jim Ross is instigating once again.

when Owen Hart and The British Bulldog retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against Vader and Mankind after both teams wrestle to a double count-out. During the match, it is announced that Sunny and Brian Pillman have conducted an interview with "The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels for the WWF Superstar Line and that it can be heard there. Also, Stu and Helen Hart are seen in the front row. Mankind continues to apply the Mandible Claw to The British Bulldog even after the bell has rung, until he is finally pulled off.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart beats a bloodied "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in a Submission Match with the Sharpshooter when Austin loses consciousness and cannot answer special guest referee Ken Shamrock. Bret "The Hit Man" Hart continues to attack Austin after the match out of pure rage, and Shamrock has to throw Hart off of Austin. Hart is booed out of the ring as Austin regains consciousness and gives a referee helping him up the Stunner, then Austin is cheered as he walks to the back under his own power, causing a double turn where Hart turns heel and Austin turns face.



Todd Pettengill interviews Faarooq and The Nation of Domination. Faarooq says Ahmed Johnson and The Legion of Doom (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) will get what is coming to them.

WrestleMania 14 is coming to the Fleet Center in Boston, Massachusetts on Sunday, March 29, 1998!

Not only does Ahmed Johnson wear spiked shoulder pads on the way to the ring with The Legion of Doom (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk), the three of them actually bring a kitchen sink.

The Legion of Doom (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) and Ahmed Johnson beat The Nation of Domination (Faarooq, Crush, Savio Vega) in a Chicago Street Fight. After the match, D'Lo Brown (despite not being known by that name at the time) eats a Pearl River Plunge, while J.C. Ice and Wolfie D succumb to a double Doomsday Device.

Todd Pettengill interviews Sycho Sid. When darkness falls, every man, woman and child will be scared...except for him.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart shows up before The Undertaker vs. Sycho Sid for the WWF Championship begins. Hart tells "The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels to stay out of the match. He also tells The Undertaker that when he slammed the steel cage door on his head, they slammed the door on their friendship and that it's a whole new set of rules between the two of them. He then tells Sid that they everybody knows that the WWF Championship belongs to him and that Sid is a fraud, and that it never belonged to Sid. Sid smacks Hart before hitting him with a power bomb, and tells Hart to get out while The Undertaker stays in the corner. When Sid tells Hart that he'll drag him back to the ring and beat him up after he's done with The Undertaker, however, The Undertaker goes right to work, starting the match.

The Undertaker beats Sycho Sid to become the WWF Champion for the first time in six years after Bret "The Hit Man" Hart returns not once but twice to attack Sid, the first time with a chair and the second time by sending Sid neck first into the ropes, before being forced back to the back by officials.
