During the Free For All, Dok Hendrix explains how the Buried Alive match works: one person has to be placed in the grave and have dirt piled on them.

Ahmed says he'll be back before we know it and that he is ready to take care of business in the ring with Faarooq Asaad, and tells Faarooq that if he's looking for him, he's not too hard to find, and that he will pay him back for costing him the Intercontinental Championship.

Kevin Kelly interviews The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) on the Free For All. Billy Gunn says everything will fall into place tonight and that he and Bart will prove why they're the greatest tag team to ever step ring, and also get back what's rightfully theirs in the first place: Sunny. Bart tells Billy to forget about Sunny for two minutes and concentrate on the tag team titles, but it becomes obvious that Billy Gunn is in love with her and says that he will have a talk with her right now. Bart is fed up with Billy at this point.

The voice of The Undertaker asks his fans if they are ready, and says that tonight they will witness the end of Mankind, and that he will take his battered carcass and place it in the cemetery in the arena and cover him until he is no more. Then, the feast shall begin. He tells Mankind that the hounds of Hell are baying for his soul, and that his end is at hand. The Undertaker is coming for Mankind, and Mankind will never rest in peace.

WWF President Gorilla Monsoon announces that Faarooq Asaad is unable to wrestle this evening and will be out for some time. "Wildman" Marc Mero will be defending the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Goldust tonight.

Jim Ross shows up on commentary just in time for the pay-per-view.

Kevin Kelly interviews "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who says his gameplan hasn't changed as he has a list and everyone's on it. He says Savio Vega isn't even hurt, and he gives Hunter Hearst Helmsley all the credit in the world because he has the guts to step in the ring with him. He hopes that Bret "The Hit Man" Hart's return to Raw - the first time that this is announced - is Bret announcing his retirement, because if it's not, then he'll retire him. He tells anyone who has a problem with the language he is using to kiss his ass. He walks to the ring with a brand new entrance theme replete with guitar and glass shattering, as well as a black leather vest with a silver skull and "Austin 3:16" on it. (The new image and music change will prove synonymous with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin for years to come.)

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin beats Triple H. During the match, Jim Ross' microphone cuts in and out, becoming a running gag throughout the pay-per-view. Also, Mr. Perfect shows up and takes Helmsley's ring escort only to have words with Helmsley and then Austin, who throws a drink at him. Perfect is ready to go at it with Austin when Triple H takes advantage of the distraction. When Helmsley notices Mr. Perfect with his ring escort, Mr. Perfect is forced to return to the backstage area by officials. It is during this match that Steve Austin also introduces giving people the middle finger into his repertoire.

Dok Hendrix interviews The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn). Billy says that Sunny will be right back by his side when he beats Owen Hart and The British Bulldog and takes back the WWF Tag Team Championships. Bart Gunn reminds him that they are a team and to forget about Sunny.

Owen Hart and The British Bulldog retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) by stopping the Sidewinder. Sunny is seen watching the match from backstage.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Raymond Rougeau are seen on the Superstar Line. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Mr. Perfect can be heard from a distance.

Jim Ross complains about his microphone problems in the ring, and announces that Bret "The Hit Man" Hart will be live on Raw in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and takes all the credit for Hart coming back. Ross says Hart has a lot to say to the fans, Vince McMahon and the WWF Championship, and that he will uncensored tomorrow night before telling Vince that he talks out of both sides of his mouth, and hands him his microphone saying he needs two of them. He then tells Vince he'll see him tomorrow night on Raw.

Mr. Perfect shows up, has a few words with Jim Ross, and guests on commentary for the next match.

"Wildman" Marc Mero tells Jerry "The King" Lawler that he's ready to defend the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Goldust.

"Wildman" Marc Mero retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Goldust. During the match, Goldust grabs a microphone and tells everyone to shut the hell up or else he'll stick his tongue down everyone's throats. Also, Mr. Perfect helps Mero up, and Hunter Hearst Helmsley shows up. As both men stare each other down, Goldust tries to attack Perfect from behind only to get punched in the face as the referee is focused on ordering Helmsley back to the back. Mr. Perfect then celebrates with Mero and Sable after the match.

Jim Ross, "Diesel" and "Razor Ramon" chat with fans on America On-Line.

"The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels guests on commentary for the next match, but before he does, he shakes hands with Sycho Sid before telling Vader he's going down at Survivor Series and pranking Jim Cornette by pulling a handkerchief out of Cornette's coat pocket, blowing his nose into it, throwing it on the mat, kicking Cornette in the keister and running away so that Vader accidentally punches Sycho Sid to absolutely no effect.

Sycho Sid beats Vader to face "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels for the WWF Championship at Survivor Series. Shawn and Sid stare down after the match, and Sid has a few words with Shawn before shaking hands and Sid lifts Shawn's arm up.

Tickets are available for Survivor Series from Ticketmaster. Dok Hendrix interviews Sycho Sid, but Jim Ross butts in and asks Sid questions instead. Sid makes it clear that he will do anything to take the WWF Championship at Survivor Series.

The Undertaker beats Mankind in a Buried Alive match. When the referee tries to declare The Undertaker the winner, he pushes the referee away as well as any other officials that try to stop him from continuing to bury Mankind alive. As The Undertaker continues to dig, a masked man in black attacks The Undertaker from behind with a shovel, saves Mankind and buries The Undertaker alive with help from Mankind. Goldust, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw and Crush also show up to grab shovels and bury The Undertaker. Paul Bearer celebrates, stating that The Undertaker is gone forever. Suddenly, thunder strikes and everyone except for Mankind, Paul Bearer and the masked man in black runs away. A bolt of lightning then strikes the grave, then Undertaker's hand pops out of the grave, signifying that he is alive.
