Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for October 16, 1995

Diamond Dallas Page knocks out Johnny B. Badd with the World Television title before their match can even begin, then fires the Badd Gun into the audience as he lays on top of Badd. Johnny B. Badd ends up winning the match by disqualification as the Diamond Doll watches with disgust.

Chris Benoit beats Eddie Guerrero in his WCW debut.

It is announced that - according to rumor - the WCW International Committee is considering establishing a cruiserweight division after adding the likes of Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko to World Championship Wrestling.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund says that one of the top officials in WWF is allegedly out of the company over the weekend, and that one of their Superstars was in a fight with a fan in a parking lot, but it can only be mentioned further on the WCW Hotline. He then introduces The Giant and The Taskmaster. The Taskmaster says that he has warned everyone that he was evil for months, and that Hulk Hogan created him. He says that Hulk Hogan has an evil side, and the difference between him and Hulk Hogan is that he knew he was the personification of evil and that Hulk still has a pocket of goodness left in him. He had Hulk's mustache shaved off in order to destroy his dignity, and after Halloween Havoc, all of the Hulkamaniacs who have "bought in" will become children of evil. The Giant plans to push him all over the rooftop and push him off, then drag him into the ring and take the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. He asks Okerlund if he wants to see the hands that will destroy Hulk Hogan, and Okerlund gets a very close-up look of one of those hands.

This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: VK Wallstreet vs. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan! Disco Inferno vs. "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright! "Macho Man" Randy Savage takes on one of the most bizarre newcomers WCW has ever seen! Hulk Hogan makes an appearance!

Disco Inferno dances at the entrance ramp again before Meng shows up.

Meng beats "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan with the Spike.

Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart say they watched the whole world stand still when they showed up in all black, and that the evil within Hulk Hogan is real. Hulk says it's time to take care of family business, and that The Giant has yet to look him in the eyes and feel the power of Hulkamania. Jimmy Hart says he's worried as Hulk Hogan says he's going to beat The Giant.

Ric Flair shows up alone before the next match, with Sting never making an entrance until later on in the match.

Sting and Ric Flair beat Arn Anderson and Flyin' Brian by count-out after the latter team retreats.

After the commercial break, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Ric Flair and Sting. Sting sat backstage and watched the match from there to see what Ric Flair would do, and after noticing how much guts Flair had, he jumped in and has decided Flair is walking the straight and narrow. Sting then says he wants to team up against Arn Anderson and Flyin' Brian again at Halloween Havoc. Ric Flair says he's in.

Next week: Sting and Lex Luger vs. Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray)! Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko vs. "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright and Eddie Guerrero! Hulk Hogan makes an appearance!
