Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for October 2, 1995

Ric Flair shows up on commentary at the start of the show and hypes up his match against Arn Anderson tonight.

Lex Luger beats "Macho Man" Randy Savage with the Torture Rack after the referee is knocked out after being caught in an Irish Whip to the corner and The Giant choke slams Savage as the referee is down.

This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: Flyin' Brian and Arn Anderson vs. Bunkhouse Buck and "Dirty" Dick Slater! We find out why Johnny B. Badd missed his United States title shot last week! "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan vs. Big Bubba!

Disco Inferno's music comes on before the next match, and out comes Disco Inferno, who dances on the entrance ramp. His dancing is interrupted by Eddie Guerrero, who immediately confronts Disco and tells him to go back to the back.

Eddie Guerrero beats Dean Malenko with a surprise roll-up manuever. During the match, Hulk Hogan's limo makes it into the building, and Jimmy Hart tells Hulk Hogan to stay in the limo because The Giant is in the building and has choke slammed "Macho Man" Randy Savage and that Hulk himself is next as The Giant knows he'll be here. Despite Jimmy Hart's warnings, Hulk takes it upon himself to confront The Giant anyway. Not even minutes later, it is mentioned on commentary that there is a commotion backstage. After the match, Dean Malenko takes Eddie Guerrero aside and says he wants a rematch. Eddie tells him he's got it, and they both shake hands before Eddie leaves.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Hulk Hogan in the ring. Hogan said he had to do some soul searching, and after spending some time with Jason Pittman, a young Hulkamaniac getting ready for a double lung transplant, who told him to "belly up to the bar and look The Giant in the eye," he knows what he has to do and he's going to the back to take on The Giant head-on. As Hulk Hogan circles the ringside area and shakes hands with the fans, a person dressed as an old woman throws powder into his face and hits him with a cane. The Zodiac and The Giant show up, and we find out the old woman is none other than The Taskmaster. The Giant rips the neck brace off of Hogan before twisting his neck again. The Taskmaster then shaves off Hulk Hogan's trademark mustache. The American Males (Marcus Alexander Bagwell and Scotty Riggs), who are supposed to be facing The Nasty Boys (Jerry Sags and Brian Knobbs) in a tag team title defense after this, go after The Giant and The Zodiac, but they easily fall to The Giant. The Nasty Boys themselves try to make the save but fare no better. The trainer shows up to check on Hogan before The Zodiac and The Giant can cut Hulk Hogan's hair.

Ric Flair beats Arn Anderson by disqualification after the interference of Flyin' Brian. After the match, Arn Anderson and Flyin' Brian double-team Flair.

After the break, it is announced that Nick Bockwinkel has made a steel cage match between Ric Flair and Arn Anderson official for next week. Also: Sting vs. The Shark! Sabu vs. Mr J.L.! Big Bubba vs. Road Warrior Hawk!
