Saturday Night's Main Event 45 - The Results



Trick Williams beats Laredo Kid in the countdown.



Stephanie McMahon introduces Oba Femi to the ring. Oba says that there is one win apiece between him and Brock Lesnar and that while his last match against Lesnar was not in his favor, he is miles ahead of Lesnar in the mental game and that he lives in Lesnar's head. Oba says that Lesnar is acting out of character and that Lesnar will understand that the tides are changing quickly and that he is not locked in a steel cage with Lesnar; Lesnar is locked in a steel cage with him.



Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid) beat Brie Bella and Paige to become the WWE Tag Team Champions after Jacy Jayne rolls Paige backwards after a roll-up, allowing Lainey to roll Paige up for the pin, the win and championship gold.



Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Sami Zayn. Sami says he is trying to choose his words carefully, as he does not want to call himself a victim, yet everything that has happened since he won the WWE Championship has been egregious. He says that CM Punk and Cody Rhodes just asked for title shots while he has to bash his head against the glass ceiling to get it. Gunther shows up and tells Sami to stay out of his way and not ruin SummerSlam for him.

Former boxer Terence Crawford, YouTuber and streamer n3on, actor and rapper O'Shea Jackson Jr. and Trick Williams are seen in the crowd.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews Liv Morgan, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh. McDonagh says that Danhausen is a curse and that he will "rid WWE of that sad buffoon."

Danhausen beats JD McDonagh after putting a black cat in a cage in his cloning machine to create New York Knicks player Karl-Anthony Towns while McDonagh and "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio look for weapons and get attacked by three Mini-hausens. Towns choke slams both McDonagh and Domini, with Dominik going through a table, before Danhausen hits the Triple D - the Danhausen Death Drop, which is the Scorpion Death Drop - on McDonagh.





Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Lyra Valkyria. Lyra says that the last time she and Bayley were in Madison Square Garden were fighting for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships. She says she wanted to get to the top and be proud of how she did it, and she cannot stop thinking about who she would be if Bayley was the person she thought she could be, but tonight, she will get Bayley out of her head.

Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin, playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda, comedian Jeff Ross, and Philadelpha Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean are seen in the crowd.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews Bayley. Bayley says she tried to give grace to Lyra Vakyria because she believed that Lyra was different, but she realized she is the different one, and that she will have to put an end to Lyra Valkyria before she can get started.

Lyra Valkyria beats Bayley by submission after countering the Bayley-to-Belly. After the match, Lyra attacks Bayley again, then puts her into the submission hold that she won the match with again. Officials try to remove Lyra afterwards, but Lyra grabs Bayley and hits her with Nightwing on the ring steps.



Zuffa boxers Johnny Fisher and Zuffa boxer Ee Ajagba are seen in the crowd. The Roman Family are the recipeints of the Arby's Seat Upgrade tonight.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews CM Punk and "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes. Cody says that he and Punk will coexist and that Punk will have no excuse when he beats him to become a four-time Undisputed WWE Champion. Punk knows they are teammates tonight and opponents at SummerSlam, and tonight, they have to keep it one-on-one so that Cody has no excuses when he beats him at SummerSlam.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes and CM Punk beat Gunther and Sami Zayn to keep their Undisputed WWE Championship match at SummerSlam one-on-one. (Had Gunther and Sami Zayn won, they would have been added to the Undisputed WWE Championship match at SummerSlam, making the match a Fatal 4-Way.) During the match, referee Charles Robinson is knocked out by Sami Zayn when Sami Zayn tries to save the match. Gunther soon hits Cody Rhodes with the Undisputed WWE Championship and powerbombs Cody, and a referee shows up to make the count only to be pulled out of the ring by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, who then blasts Gunther with the WWE Championship and brings referees Charles Robinson back into the ring as Punk hits Gunther with the GTS and drags Cody into the cover. After the match, CM Punk comically smacks Cody Rhodes in the face with one of the straps of the Undisputed WWE Championship on his way out.





Former Pittsburgh Steelers football player James Harrison, two-time NBA all-star Cade Cunningham, Buffalo Bills five-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle Dion Dawkins, and Oba Femi are seen in the crowd.

New York Knicks player Jalen Brunston heads to the ring with Roman Reigns. Reigns says that this is "rare air" where greatness acknowledges greatness and that New York City is the home of WWE, and every time he comes here, the fans make him feel like he is at home, too. He also states that 53 years was way too long for the Knicks to get another NBA Championship, then says that there is only one Tribal Chief and only one Captain as he introduces Jalen Brunston. Reigns says that every champion needs a title and that he made some moves, and awards Brunson a custom-made New York Knicks World Heavyweight Championship, saying that he not only deserved it, but earned it. Reigns then has the fans in attendance acknowledge the two of them as they both raise their titles. Suddenly, Seth "Freakin'" Rollins shows up. Reigns then has the fans in attendance acknowledge the two of them as they both raise their titles. Suddenly, Tyrese Haliburton shows up with a metal folding chair in his hands to Seth "Freakin'" Rollins' entrance theme. All of a sudden, Reigns is attacked from behind by the real Rollins, then goes for The Stomp only for Jalen Brunston to stand between him and Roman. Rollins threatens to drop Brunston where he stands, and Roman hits Rollins with a Supeman Punch followed by a Spear. Afterwards, Reigns is awarded with his own Larry O'Brien Trophy. Reigns holds up the trophy while Brunson holds up Reigns' World Heavyweight Championship.

Saturday Night's Main Event 44 - The Results

Jade Cargill, "Michin" Mia Yim and B-Fab beat Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and Rhea Ripley in a six-woman tag match after Charlotte and Rhea finally put their differences aside only for Cargill to shove Rhea into everyone else and hit Rhea with Jaded.



Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews "All Ego" Ethan Page. Ethan says that this is an important night for him, Cathy Kelley and even the Intercontinental Championship, as he will win it and give it the attention it deserves, and also because it is the last time he is interviewed before he becomes champion. He says that Penta is only champion so he can hand him the title.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Sol Ruca, who wants to know if Becky Lynch is ready. She says that she is taking this match seriously and that it will take just one Sol Snatcher to beat Becky and snatch the spotlight. We then hear from Becky Lynch, who says that everyone is going to say that she is the greatest tonight as she makes her way to the ring.

Sol Ruca beats Becky Lynch by disqualification after Becky uses referee Jessika Carr as a human shield against the Sol Snatcher. After the match, Becky attacks Sol Ruca with the Women's Intercontinental Championship and a Manhandle Slam as Sol Ruca checks on referee Jessika Carr, then hits a second Manhandle Slam. Becky then scares referee Dan Engler off before hitting a third Manhandle Slam.



We hear from Penta, who says that "All Ego" Ethan Page keeps talking about his championship, then says he will fight with fire and pain and never back down. He says that Ethan is an arrogant clown while he fights for his people and his championship.

Backstage, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis tells Becky Lynch that as per Raw General Manager Adam Pearce, Becky will defend the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship against Sol Ruca at Clash in Italy.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax and Lash Legend). Nia says they will no longer be former champions, and Lash says that they will end Paige and Brie Bella's nostalgia tour once and for all. Nia says they will make history by making Paige and Brie history.

Penta retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship against "All Ego" Ethan Page after Ethan hits an exposed turnbuckle that Ethan exposed himself before Penta hits him with the Mexican Destroyer.



Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Paige and Brie Bella. Brie says everyone has written them off and that Paige stepped up when Nikki could not. She says she have each others' backs, and that they have beaten The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax and Lash Legend) once and they can beat them again. Paige says this was never supposed to happen, and while they are the underdogs on paper, they are winning tonight.

We hear from The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford), who proclaim that they will be beating The Vision to become the World Tag Team Champions tonight.

Brie Bella and Paige retain the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships against The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax and Lash Legend) after Brie presses Paige forward with her boot after Paige hits Nia with a Sunset Flip to get out of Nia's grasp.



Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews The Vision (Paul Heyman, Logan Paul, Austin Theory). Paul Heyman says that The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) will be denied the World Tag Team titles by Logan Paul and Austin Theory. Logan says it is undeniable that they are the greatest crossover team in history and the greatest tag team champions in the history of the world. He says the tag team titles are the smoke, and Theory says that the titles are for them.

The Vision (Logan Paul and Austin Theory) retain the World Tag Team Championships against The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford). During the match, Bron Breakker goes for a Spear on The Street Profits only to be overpowered by Dawkins. After this, The Street Profits double-team The Vision, but Paul Heyman puts Theory's foot on the bottom rope. Montez goes after Heyman only to be blasted with brass knuckles by Logan Paul, who throws Montez back into the ring so that Theory can pin, win and retain. The show ends with Breakker hitting individual spears on The Street Profits

Saturday Night's Main Event 43 - The Results

Stephanie McMahon replaces Joe Tessitore on hosting duties for tonight's show due to the winter weather gripping most of North America right now.

Before the next match, Jacob Fatu says that he is going to beat "The American Nighmare" Cody Rhodes' ass as he makes his way to the ring. The match deevolves into a brawl when Jacob attacks Cody from behind in the ring, and the brawl goes to the outside, then through the crowd and into the concourse before heading into the tech area, where Drew McIntyre throws Jacob through a table, hits Cody with a low blow and powerbombs Cody through another table. Drew McIntyre makes his way into the ring and stares straight into the camera before the show fades to a commercial break.





Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Drew McIntyre. McIntyre says that if anyone wants to run their mouth and take his title, then what happened to "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu will happen to them.

Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky retain the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships against The Judgment Day (Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez) despite the interference by Raquel Rodriguez, who trips Rhea Ripley from the outside and causes her to fall onto the referee to stop a pinfall attempt by Iyo before brawling all the way into the crowd and to the back with Stephanie Vaquer.





"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles beats Shinsuke Nakamura.



In footage from earlier tonight, Sami Zayn is seen with the fans outside of the arena.

Sami Zayn beast Damian Priest, Randy Orton and Trick Williams in a Fatal 4-Way Match to face Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Royal Rumble. After the match, Drew McIntyre charges into the ring and charges at Sami Zayn, but Sami throws him right back out to end the show.

Saturday Night's Main Event 42: John Cena's Final Match - The Results









Backstage, Byron Saxton interviews Chelsea Green. Chelsea shares advice from John Cena: There is no substitute for hard work.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews Shawn Michaels. Shawn says that John Cena has always been wonderful with NXT and praises his work ethic, saying he is the hardest-working man anyone will ever meet. He calls Cena "one of the rare good dudes in this line of work."

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews Oba Femi. Oba says that he was a big fish in a small pond for a very long time, but tonight is a much bigger stage due to John Cena's very last match. He hopes that Cena's end is his beginning, and that "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes views him as a distant future when he has already arrived. He says that Cody's time is up and his time is now.

Sam Roberts and Megan Morant interview Je'Von Evans and Leon Slater. Slater admits he is nervous, but he and Je'Von will make history and show who they are tonight. Je'Von feels the same way, and hopes that tonight proves that they can hang with the big dogs.

We see WWE Superstars at The Children's Inn at NIH Bethesda in Bethesda, Maryland as part of WWE's community outreach.

Backstage, Byron Saxton interviews Trish Stratus. She says that Cena is a once-in-a-generation Superstar and that we will never see another like him again, and that Cena has mastered "the art of the comeback" and has made decisions that have ensured his legacy.

Sam Roberts and Megan Morant interview Sol Ruca. Sol Ruca mentions John Cena picking her for the women's Iron Survivor Challenge, then says that it is time to show that she belongs here with her match against Bayley tonight. She is focused on one day at a time, one night at a time, and tonight, she is focused on Bayley.

Jackie Redmond interviews Stew, the WWE cameraman that John Cena has mentioned for many years. Stew says John Cena is a good man all the way through, which he considers a rarity. He says that John Cena did something great in WWE and that he will continue to do something great. Jackie Redmond then interviews Stephanie McMahon, who says that John Cena is something special and has given his all throughout his career, and that as much of a hero Cena has been in the ring, he has been one outside of the ring through the Make-A-Wish program.

Sam Roberts and Megan Morant interview The Miz. The Miz says that he never got his final match with John Cena despite being an important part of Cena's career, then mentions that only the people who have matches tonight get cappucinos in catering.

Byron Saxton interviews CM Punk. Punk says that John Cena's retirement gave everyone a chance to say goodbye, and tonight is it. He says he would not have missed tonight for the world, and says that legends are always taken overnight. He is proud to have been a small part of Cena's story and career.

Lilian Garcia sings The Star Spangled Banner.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes beats Oba Femi by disqualification after he is suddenly attacked by Drew McIntyre. Oba Femi confronts McIntyre and shoves him to the mat, and Cody hits the Cody Cutter on McIntyre before Oba hits McIntyre with a choke slam. Cody then takes the NXT and WWE Championships and hands the NXT title to Oba before raising his hand. Oba returns the favor and raises Cody's hand.



Indiana Pacers player Tyrese Halliburton, actor Jon Bernthal, and actor and stuntman Chuck Zito are all seen in the crowd.

Sol Ruca beats Bayley after hitting the Sol Snatcher, getting Bayley back into the ring, and reversing a roll-up by Bayley with one of her own.



Michelle McCool, Mark Henry, Kurt Angle, Eve Torres, Trish Stratus, Rob Van Dam, and Sami Zayn are seen in the front row.

Michael Cole thanks Taz, JBL, Corey Graves, Jerry "The King" Lawler and Jim Ross for being among the commentators who called John Cena's matches throughout Cena's career.

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles and Dragon Lee retain the World Tag Team Championships against Je'Von Evans and Leon Slater after Styles catches Slater out of the air for the Styles Clash.



Rapper Metro Boomin and retired Navy SEAL Master Chief and Medal of Honor Recipient Edward Byers are seen in the crowd.

The Miz is suddenly in the ring. He says that John Cena's retirement tour pretends that he does not exist when he was the one to beat John Cena in the same gear he is currently wearing in the main event of WrestleMania 27. R-Truth shows up dressed like John Cena and confronts The Miz for switching around the balls in Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis' tumblr and costing someone an opportunity. The Miz reads out loud the name in the ball in R-Truth's hand: Joe Hendry. Joe Hendry shows up out of nowhere, and The Miz becomes absolutely furious. The Miz swings at Joe Hendry, but Joe Hendry fights back, and after he and R-Truth hit a double Five Knuckle Shuffle, Joe Hendry hits the Standing Ovation on The Miz.



Gunther beats John Cena in Cena's final match by submission following six consecutive sleeper attempts. On the sixth attempt, John Cena faintly smiles, then softly taps out. After the match, the fans chant "Bullshit!" before giving Cena a standing ovation. Cena kisses the ring before the fans chant "Thank you, Cena." John Cena takes a bow before a locker room full of wrestlers, legends, Hall of Famers, producers and officials empties and heads to the ring. CM Punk and "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes pay it forward, placing the WWE and World Heavyweight titles on Cena's shoulders. The crowd chants "You fucked up" at first before chanting "Thank you, Cena" again. Cena raises both of the titles up multiple times before handing them back to Cody and Punk. Triple H is booed as he congratulates Cena, and we see a video package chronicling Cena's career. After the video package, Cena takes a bow before leaving his sneakers, his armband and his wristbands in the center of the ring. He high-fives the fans on the way out, then takes one last look around and winks at the camera before taking one final bow and one final salute. John Cena then looks at the camera and says "It's been a pleasure serving you all these years. Thank you." He then heads to the back, and the show fades to black.

Saturday Night's Main Event 41 - The Results

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes retains the Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre. During the match, referee Dan Engler is sandwiched in the corner after McIntyre pushes Cody into him. McIntyre then re-introduces the Undisputed WWE Championship into the match after bringing it into the ring to use as a weapon earlier in the match. McIntyre tries to grab the championship, but Cody drives McIntyre head-first into the front plate with a DDT and tosses the title out of the ring before hitting McIntyre with a Cross Rhodes after referee Dan Engler comes to for the win. (Had Cody gotten disqualified or counted-out, McIntyre would have become Undisputed WWE Champion.)



Backstage, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis checks on Tiffany Stratton to make sure she is ready for tonight. Tiffany says she is ready.

We see footage of Montez Ford and R-Truth spending the day at Utah Food Bank as part of WWE's community outreach.

Actor Gabriel Luna, comedian Pauly Shore, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe and singer-songwriter Post Malone are seen in the crowd.

Jade Cargill beats Tiffany Stratton to become the WWE Women's Champion after Tiffany has knee problems throughout the match.



"Dirty" Dominik Mysterio retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Rusev and Penta in a Triple Threat Match. During the match, Rusev supposedly wins with an Accolade to Penta, but Dominik is revealed to be the one ringing the bell. Rusev goes after Dominik, and Dominik takes him out only for Penta to stop him from using the ring bell hammer as a weapon. Penta grabs the hammer, but inadvertently hits Rusev with it, and Dominik sends Penta into the ring post before hitting Rusev with a top rope frog splash to retain.



We see a sneak peak of Tom Rinaldi's interview of John Cena.

We hear from John Cena, who talks about who he wants to face in his last match. He says he wants to face whoever is willing to step up to take the opportunity that he stepped up to take on his first day. He announces a 16-man tournament with randomly chosen participants from Raw, SmackDown, NXT and elsewhere with men he has a history with as well as men he has never faced, with the winner facing him at the next Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13th.

Saturday Night's Main Event 40 - The Results

Randy Orton beats Drew McIntyre after Jelly Roll shoves Logan Paul to the ground and Drew McIntyre dares Jelly Roll to fight him, allowing Randy Orton to hit an RKO out of nowhere for the win. After the match, Logan Paul attacks Randy Orton. Jelly Roll gets in the ring and throws Logan Paul off of Orton, then blocks a punch and knocks Logan down with a right hand. When Jelly Roll checks on Orton, he gets hit with a Claymore by McIntyre, who is then chewed out by both main roster General Managers.





Backstage, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis are arguing with Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre.

The Lavergne Family is the recipient of the Jimmy John's Seat Upgrade.

Iyo Sky, Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill are seen in the front row. When Jade Cargill is on camera, she is attacked by Naomi. Officials and security jump in as Naomi and Cargill brawl. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announces that the special guest referee for Cargill and Naomi's match at Evolution is Bianca Belair.



Former WCW Head of Security Doug Dellinger and WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page are seen in the crowd.

Solo Sikoa retains the WWE United States Championship after Tala Tonga plants his boot on Solo to keep Jimmy from kicking out of a schoolkid pin in response to Jimmy Uso kicking him in the face from the ring apron. After the match, Tala Tonga hits Jimmy So with a big boot, then helps solo up while Tanga Loa and JC Mateo go on the attack. Solo then hits Jimmy with a Samoan Spike. Jacob Fatu then shows up, takes down Tanga Loa and JC Mateo, then has a staredown with Tala Tonga. Both men fight, and Tala Tonga overpowers him with a big boot. Tala then rushes at Jacob, but Jacob sends him tumbling out of the ring and hits him with a tope suicida.





Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Randy Orton and Jelly Roll. Orton feels guilty for what happened to Jelly Roll tonight, but Jelly Roll says that Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre have grossly underestimated him and he wants them anywhere, any time. Orton says that will happen at SummerSlam.



The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) are seen in the crowd.

LA Knight beats Seth "Freakin'" Rollins after Rollins tweaks his knee and is checked on by medical. When Rollins decides to continue with the match, Knight hits him with the BFT for the win. (It is later made apparent after the match that Rollins has injured his knee.)



NFL analyst Akbar Gbaja-Biamila, Blake Monroe, Jacy Jayne and 2 Chainz are all seen in the crowd.

Before the next match, Former WCW Head of Security Doug Dellinger helps lead Goldberg to the ring one last time. Also in Goldberg's entourage is his Goldberg's son Gage and Ernest "The Cat" Miller.

Gunther retains the World Heavyweight Championship against Goldberg in what is Goldberg's final match. During the match, Gunther rips off Goldberg's knee brace and uses it to taunt Goldberg's son Gage, who has to be held back by security after he jumps the barricade. After the match, Goldberg apologizes for "going out a little subpar" and that he has over 100 friends and family who came in from all over the world who he cannot thank enough. Afterwards, he thanks the fans, saying he could not have done it without them as the show ends. Post-show, he says that when he did it for the fans and especially for the kids, then talks about his professional football career and how he was lucky enough to play for the University of Georgia and the Atlanta Falcons as well as beat "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in the Georgia Dome in front of 45,000 fans. He says he could not have done it without the fans, and that it has been one hell of a ride. He also says there will never be another Goldberg, save for his son. Goldberg tells the fans to treat everyone with respect and treat everyone the way you wanted to be treated. He then says he is not going anywhere, then says he gained strength from the fans and that he cannot thank them enough. Goldberg also thanks his wife Wanda for being with him every step of the way, then says this is not goodbye and that he will be doing other things. Goldberg also mentions the passing of his father last week as well as the flood victims in both Camp Mercy as well as North Carolina, saying one is never good enoguh to lend a helping hand. He says that he was a proud Georgian for eighteen years and that he is a proud Texan now, as he and his neighbors dropped what they were doing to lend a helping hand. Goldberg then reiterates treating everyone with respect, saying that this can be a crappy world if you let it, but if you stand up, put your foot down and lead by example, then it can be a hell of a ride, and he wants everyone to take that ride with him. Goldberg celebrates with family and friends after ending his retirement speech with a mic drop, then "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes shows up and says that everyone saw magic much like back then before thanking Goldberg for everything that he has done in professional wrestling, stating that he is not just wrestling royalty, but Atlanta and Georgia royalty. He then leads one more "Goldberg" chant.

Saturday Night's Main Event 39 - The Results

Seth "Freakin'" Rollins and Bron Breakker beat Sami Zayn and CM Punk after "Big" Bronson Reed shows up out of nowhere and plows CM Punk through a barricade after Heyman grabs at Sami from outside the ring as Sami readies a Helluva Kick on Breakker. After the match, Breakker and Reed square off, but Rollins stands between them and hugs Reed. Breakker and Reed then shake hands before all three men and Paul Heyman celebrate. Punk grabs at Heyman, but Reed flattens Punk with a senton before Rollins and Breakker hold Punk down for a Tsunami.





Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Chelsea Green and The Secret Hervice (Piper Niven and Alba Fyre). Chelsea says she has risen from the ashes and she will enter her second term as Women's United States Champion.

Zelina Vega retains the WWE Women's United States Championship against Chelsea Green with a Code Red from the top rope despite interference from The Secret Hervice (Piper Niven and Alba Fyre).



WWE Hall of Famers Jimmy Hart and Bushwhacker Luke are seen in the front row. El Hijo del Vikingo is also seen in the crowd.

It is announced that Saturday Night's Main Event and WWE Evolution will take place in Atlanta, Georgia on July 12th and July 13th, respectively.

Before the next match, R-Truth comes out to the old John Cena entrance.



John Cena beats R-Truth after faking using the WWE Championship as a weapon only to hand it to the referee and kick R-Truth in the groin behind the referee's back to hit the Attitude Adjustment for the win. After the match, Cena smashes R-Truth in the face with the WWE Championship.



Backstage, "Main Event" Jey Uso runs into John Cena. Cena says he looks forward to their next encounter and entertains the ideas of Jey losing his title to Logan Paul and swooping in to take the World Heavyweight Champion and leave with two titles. He wishes Jey luck, and says he will watch his match closely.



Leilani Kai and Tatanka are seen in the crowd.

Damian Priest beats Drew McIntyre in a steel cage match by leaving through the door after hitting McIntyre with a Con-Chair-To. After the match, McIntyre is tended to by medical personnel, even though McIntyre wants to leave under his own power.



Mike Rotunda and Barry Windham are seen in the crowd.

"Main Event" Jey Uso retains the World Heavyweight Championship against Logan Paul. During the match, John Cena shows up and pulls the referee out of the ring after Jey hits the Uso Splash, then attacks Jey. Suddenly, "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes returns for the first time since WresleMania and evens the numbers game before hitting Cena witht he Cross Rhodes. Jey then goes for the Uso Splash again and hits it to retain. After the match, Cody says that he is back and ready to fight, then challenges Cena and Logan to a tag team match against himself and Jey Uso at Money in the Bank.

Saturday Night's Main Event 38 - The Results

"The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase is seen entering the building.

Rhea Ripley retains the Women's World Championship against Nia Jax.



Alundra Blayze aka Madusa is seen in the crowd with her WWF Women's Championship belt from the 1990s. WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry is also seen in the crowd.

Jesse "The Body" Ventura guests on commentary for the next match. Comedian and WWE fan Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias is seen in the crowd.

Bron Breakker retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Sheamus.



WWE Hall of Famers Ted DiBiase, Dory Funk Jr. and "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan are seen in the crowd.

"The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels heads to the ring to moderate the contract signing between "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens for their Ladder Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Royal Rumble. After the commercial break, the ring is set up for the contract signing, and Shawn Michaels says it is good to be back home in San Antonio, Texas. He says he has one job tonight: to walk out with Cody and Owens' signatures. He says that General Manager Nick Aldis has sent in the closer, and that it is happening tonight. Owens is introduced first, followed by Cody. Shawn says that Cody and Owens have battered each other for months, and that as much as the fans have enjoyed it, he needs their signatures for their match. Cody signs the contract as soon as Shawn presents it. Owens looks the contract over, then brings up Cody mentioning him taking the easy way out before calling him a liar. He says he could have done that at Bash In Berlin, but he cared about their friendship more than Cody ever did. He then accuses Cody of doing the same thing when he left WWE before Cody tells him to shut up. He says that nobody cares about the past or what Owens has to say, and tells him to sign the contract. Owens says that once he signs the contract, he will make it official and he will shut everyone who says he is not the rightful champion up. He says that when he wins the title, everything Cody got when he came back is going to him. Shawn chalks this all up to jealousy, telling Owens that he just sounds jealous. Owens takes this as Shawn siding with Cody and says that Shawn quit when things got tough, and that he made the WWE Championship mean more than Shawn ever did. Owens says that he will give everyone a champion to be proud of, and says the only person losing their smile is Cody. He signs the contract, then the two WWE Championship belts are hung above the ring. Shawn wishes both men good luck, then shakes hands with Cody after Owens refuses. Owens then hits Cody with a cheap shot, and when he goes to attack Shawn, Cody makes the save, and Shawn hits Owens with Sweet Chin Music.



Before the next match, Jacob Fatu says Braun Strowman may be tough, but he has never been in the ring with someone like him and he is about to beat his ass from post to post on NBC from coast to coast.

Braun Strowman beats Jacob Fatu by disqualification after Fatu shoves the ref out of the ring to repeatedly hit Strowman with hip attacks in the corner. After the match, Fatu tosses a metal folding chair into the ring. The referee has to call for SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, referees and security to get in the ring only for security to get laid out. It is then revealed that Strowman is bleeding from the mouth. Jacob Fatu hits Braun Strowman with a moonsault in the middle of the ring, and Tama Tonga has to get in the ring to get Jacob Fatu to calm down. This leads to Fatu hitting Strowman with another moonsault, and Tonga has to get Jacob out of the ring as the fans chant for Jacob. Halfway down the ramp, Jacob gets back in the ring and hits yet another top rope moonsault on Strowman, and Tonga has to get him out of the ring again.



WWE Hall of Famers Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard are seen in the crowd.

We see footage of Triple H inviting iShowSpeed to stream at Royal Rumble.

Saturday Night's Main Event 37 - The Results

Jesse "The Body" Ventura is welcomed to commentary by Joe Tessitore. Also, Pat McAfee returns to commentary for tonight's show.





Drew McIntyre beats Sami Zayn after rolling out of the ring to avoid the Helluva Kick, getting back in as Sami gets out, and hitting Sami with the Claymore Kick.



WWE Hall of Famers Tito Santana, Rich Hering and Jimmy Hart are seen in the front row.

Liv Morgan retains the World Women's Championship against Iyo Sky after getting the boots up to block Over The Moonsault and hitting Ob-Liv-Ion. After the match, Rhea Ripley shows up and has a staredown with Liv.





Gunther retains the World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor and Damian Priest in a Triple Threat Match.



Jesse "The Body" Ventura and Joe Tessitore talk about the show so far. Ventura thanks the fans for making wrestling bigger now than it was 40 years ago.

Chelsea Green beats "Michin" Mia Yim after arching off the top rope for an Un-Pretty-Her following the distraction from Piper Niven to win the WWE Women's United States Championship Tournament and become the inaugural WWE United States Women's Champion!



WWE Hall of Famers Greg "The Hammer" Valentine and Koko B. Ware are seen in the crowd. Jesse "The Body" Ventura guests on commentary for the main event.

Before the next match, "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes wears the original "Winged Eagle" design of the WWE Undisputed Championship from the 1980s and 1990s.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes retains the WWE Undisputed Championship against Kevin Owens. During the match, Owens shoves Cody into referee Charles Robinson, who is quickly replaced by referee Eddie Orengo. Orengo soon gets taken out inadvertently by an airborne cody, and that allows Owens to introduce a metal folding chair into the ring. Owens swings and misses, and Cody hits Owens with a Cross Rhodes onto the chair before shoving the chair out of the ring. Charles Robinson comes to and makes the count from the outside, and Cody retains.
