My Predictions for Elimination Chamber

Welp, it's that time again. The night of February 17th is going to be the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. I was kinda wowed by Royal Rumble, even if there were certain things about it that people complained about (John Cena winning the Rumble, CM Punk losing the title), but other than that, I'm glad I saw it and want another taste of that PPV pie.

Brodus Clay and Tensai vs. Team Rhodes Scholars (Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes)

Team Rhodes Scholars is teaming up again? Well, blow me down like Captain Feathersword! And it's for the pre-show, so everyone can see it? Good idea, WWE.

Prediction: Kinda up in the air, but I'm expecting Brodus Clay and Tensai to win it. But so help me, if Sandow and Rhodes get the victory, I will be marking.

Kaitlyn (champion) vs. Tamina Snuka for the WWE Divas Championship

This is a late addition, and it wasn't really mentioned until last week. Still, it's good to see the Divas title being defended, even though the Divas division is struggling just to even stay relevant.

Prediction: Kaitlyn will retain. That much is certain.

Antonio Cesaro (champion) vs. The Miz for the WWE United States Championship

Yep, the Royal Rumble pre-show again. This time, the feud's even more built up as Cesaro has recently given Miz a serious thrashing. There's no direction to go but up for both of these men, but only one of them will win the championship.

Prediction: I think Miz might win it this time and end the feud. There's too much riding on this match for Miz to lose this time, and to me, there's really no reason to keep this feud going any longer. At this point, it's perfect.

Alberto Del Rio (champion) vs. Big Show for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Oh, boy. This again. Unlike the last few times they've met in the ring, this is a regular match and not another Last Man Standing ordeal. There's a lot riding on this match, too.

Prediction: Somehow, Alberto Del Rio will once again defy the odds and retain just like he did on SmackDown to win the title and on Royal Rumble to retain. He seems to be pushed like an underdog champion, much like Eddy Guerrero before him. Alberto Del Rio as a face, however, is something I'm really starting to enjoy, and I think it's too soon for him to drop the title back to Big Show.

Elimination Chamber Match - Randy Orton, Jack Swagger, Daniel Bryan, Kane, Mark Henry, Chris Jericho

Yep, this match again. Just like last year, the match dictates that the last man standing becomes the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Now I like all six guys. They've been on top of their game at one point or another, especially the returning Mark Henry, whose return just might be the dress rehearsal for a second World Heavyweight reign that just might be as much as a destructive juggernaut as the first. You also have the returning Chris Jericho, and he could win the big one again at any given time. Then there's Jack Swagger, who...you guessed it...is also returning. But is Swagger biting off more than he can chew?

Prediction: Part of me wants Mark Henry, and the other Chris Jericho. I'm gonna go with my heart and say Chris Jericho.

The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) vs. John Cena, Sheamus and Ryback

The Shield get their first match on the main roster since TLC. (C'mon, WWE, show 'em off on Raw or SmackDown and showcase what these guys can do in the ring!) They've got Ryback again, but this time they've got more dangerous competition along with him - John Cena and Sheamus. If the last two weeks have been any indication, this one's going to be explosive.

Prediction: Cena, Ryback and Sheamus might win this...but this is going to be a nasty fight and The Shield won't let them hear the end of this. This definitely won't be the last you see of The Shield...count on it!

The Rock (champions) vs. CM Punk for the WWE Championship

Yeah, this match again. C'mon, what were you expecting?

Oh, yeah, forgot.  If Rocky loses by disqualification, the belt changes hands back to CM Punk. Blame Paul Heyman, who brought this stipulation to Vince McMahon...and got it.

Prediction: CM Punk is going to win it back. If you're expecting The Rock to retain at this point, you're either nuts or have no idea about his busy movie-star schedule. He's already got another onein the can for next year, for crying out loud.

Only thing is, if and when CM Punk wins the title back,  someone's going to come around and make The Rock look like nothing in comparison. I don't know if it's The Undertaker, but after the smoke clears and the winner is decided, it's not over yet...
