ECW Barely Legal - The Results

Joey Styles announces the beginning of the first pay-per-view in the history of Extreme Championship Wrestling as well as the three-way dance between Terry Funk, Sandman and Big Stevie Cool with the winner facing Raven for the ECW World Heavyweight Championship, as well as Sabu vs. Taz. All of a sudden, The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray Dudley, D-Von Dudley, Sign Guy Dudley) and Joel Gertner show up to ridicule the crowd until The Eliminators (Perry Saturn and John Kronus) show up.

The Eliminators (Perry Saturn and John Kronus) beat The Dudley Boys (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) in a rather one-sided match to win the ECW World Tag Team Championships for a third time. Joel Gertner berates the new champs and eats a Total Elimination as a result.

Chris Candido was supposed to take on Lance Storm tonight, but due to a partially torn bicep, he can't compete for a while. Nevertheless, he speaks to the crowd. Even though he was a WWF tag team champion this time last year, he's come back home to ECW and says he should be the main event. He says he'll be ringside tonight somehow. When Lance Storm shows up, he shakes hands with Candido.

Rob Van Dam beats Lance Storm. After the match, RVD grabs the mike and says he doesn't care about respect, saying he sold out to himself. He says he's not second-rate, and expresses his distaste for having to substitute for someone else just to get on the pay-per-view. He then says he's worth more money here, but he's also worth more money elsewhere.

The Great Sasuke, Gran Hamada, and Masato Yakushiji beat bWo Japan (Taka Michinoku, Terry Boy (aka Men's Teioh), and Dick Togo). Yakushiji substituted for an injured Gran Naniwa.

"Big Stevie Cool" Stevie Richards plans to go on and win the ECW World Heavyweight Championship.

Before his match with Pitbull #2, "The Franchise" Shane Douglas brags about how he broke Gary Wolfe aka Pitbull #1's neck, and also talks about the masked man who has made it his mission to ruin Douglas' life.

"The Franchise" Shane Douglas retains the ECW World Television Championship against Pitbull #2 with help from Chris Candido and Francine, forcing the masked man who has been hounding Douglas to unmask. We hear a voice similar to Rick Rude's telling Douglas to give up Francine or get the ass whipping of a lifetime. The masked man shows up in a "Ravishing" Rick Rude robe, and when he is attacked, he is revealed to be "Bulldozer" Brian Lee of Triple Threat (Douglas, Lee, Candido)! One of the riot squad officers that accompanied Douglas to the ring takes off his helmet and reveals himself to be "Ravishing" Rick Rude, who gives Shane Douglas what for along with Brian Lee!

Raven pledges to walk out of Barely Legal as ECW World Heavyweight Champion.

Tazz hates Sabu as much as Sabu hates him...and he knows this match will be an all-out war. Tazz plans to choke Sabu out just like he did the rest.

Tazz beats Sabu with the Tazzmission. After the match, Tazz admits he has respect for Sabu for giving him the fight of life, and says he's more than willing to do a rematch. Sabu and Tazz shake hands, and Sabu raises Tazz's hand. Suddenly, Rob Van Dam nails Tazz from behind and argues with Sabu over it, but Tazz gets back up and tries to attack RVD only to be double-teamed by Sabu and RVD. The final nail in the coffin happens when Tazz's manager Bill Alfonso gets in the ring with RVD and Sabu and takes off his Team Tazz shirt...only to reveal a Sabu shirt underneath. Sabu turns on Taz to manage RVD and Sabu, saying Tazz cost him a lot of money tonight. RVD says his whole family can now get some respect, says Alfonso knows his schedule and that RVD himself would love to work Mondays.

Tommy Dreamer (with Beulah McGillicutty) guests as special guest commentator for the next match.

Terry Funk beats The Sandman and "Big Stevie Cool" Stevie Richards to face Raven for the ECW World Heavyweight Championship. Raven shows up and stands over Terry Funk right after the match ends.

A decimated Terry Funk miraculously beats Raven to win the ECW World Heavyweight Championship! During the match, Big Dick Dudley makes his return and attacks Tommy Dreamer only to be sent falling through a few tables, and Reggie Bennett joins Raven's Nest, who eventually gets laid out by an angry Tommy Dreamer as he goes after Raven. Dreamer hits a DDT on Raven, allowing for Terry Funk to get the win.
