Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for November 25, 1996

It is announced that a tournament for the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship will take place as per the WCW Championship Committee, as The Giant is not the United States Championship and the title has been vacated due to "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair's shoulder injury.

Lex Luger and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson fight to a double count-out in the first round of the United States title tournament, with neither man advancing. During the match, The Giant interrupts the match by proclaiming that the United States Heavyweight Championship is his and that it will stay with him and the nWo. He says that the winner of the tournament will get a piece of him.

Eric Bischoff, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Syxx, The Giant and Vincent of The New World Order show up. Eric Bischoff says that pain can be a powerful thing in life, and that after he was powerbombed into a table by Nash, he asked himself if he wanted to be consumed by the power or become part of the force. He then had a summit with Hall and Nash and the three of them decided to consolidate powers, as he is one of the highest ranking executives and the highest ranking executive in WCW. He gives WCW 30 days to convert their WCW contracts to nWo contracts, as The New World Order is going to build a dynasty. After those 30 days, "you're either with us or against us." He tells "Rowdy" Roddy Piper to watch himself, as he can and will fine him if he gets out of hand. He then declares that possession is nine-tenths of the law, especially when The Giant possesses the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship. All of a sudden, The American Males (Marcus Bagwell and Scotty Riggs) show up, and Marcus Bagwell high-fives everyone in the nWo before hitting Riggs with a neckbreaker, revealing Bagwell to be nWo's newest member as The American Males officially cease to be. Nash and Hall respond by saying that he who hesitates "gets punked."

Diamond Dallas Page beats Disco Inferno. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews DDP after the match, and DDP says the New World Order wants him because they want to build a dynasty and stick everyone with the Diamond Cutter. It is obvious that Page is a close friend, personally and professionally, of Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, and that he lives across the street from Eric Bischoff and that he goes back with him even more than anyone. He says he felt like a moron not knowing what was going on with the nWo, and that he wishes that he didn't know now what he knew then.

"Lord" Steven Regal retains the WCW World Television Championship against Tony Pena with the Regal Stretch.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Rick Steiner, who has just come back from wrestling in Japan. He says he and his brother Scott Steiner are "110% WCW" and that he is surprised by the recent actions of both Sting and Marcus Bagwell. He says you have to have some guts to take on The New World Order, and when it's all said and done, there will by no way out for the nWo.

The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) have their own official T-Shirt. Only $20 plus shipping and handling!

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour. Tony Schiavone replaces Eric Bischoff on commentary from this point forward.

Eddie Guerrero beats Konnan to advance to the next round of the United States title tournament when Eddie falls on Konnan during a slam and pins him.

The encore for World War 3 is tomorrow night on pay-per-view.

Big Bubba beats Rick Steiner after Sting comes down from the rafters and hits Rick Steiner with an inverted DDT in the ring as Jimmy Hart distracts the referee.

Lee Marshall calls from Dayton, Ohio - the site of next week's Nitro - for the 1-800-COLLECT Road Report.

Rey Mysterio, Jr. beats Psychosis. Sonny Onoo and The Ultimate Dragon are seen watching the match from the top of the entrance ramp.

"Mean" Gene Oklerund interviews "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Woman. Benoit tells The Taskmaster to take a good look at him, as he is still here and that he made his problems worse. He tells Taskmaster his best wasn't enough and that The Dungeon of Doom wasn't enough to get rid of one man. He tells The Taskmaster to look into his eyes and soul and see his former self, and that there are two ways out of this: the man's way and the coward's way. He knows The Taskmaster can pull some strings to get him out of WCW, but asks The Taskmaster if he wants to be remembered as a coward, and that he can't answer that question for him. Woman tells The Taskmaster that if he kicked Benoit one more time, it was over, and now it's over.

Jeff Jarrett beats "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright with the Figure Four Leg Lock while grabbing on to the bottom rope.

Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) vs. The Faces of Fear (Meng and The Barbarian) - and the show - ends with The New World Order ganging up on all four men.
