Lex Luger beats Hugh Morrus with the Torture Rack...almost. Morrus gives up as soon as Luger puts him in it. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Luger after the match. Luger says he may have the momentum, but World War 3 is a different story, and he wants a shot at "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. All of a sudden, Sting shows up with a red baseball bat, and pushes Luger with the bat before handing it to him and walking off. Luger doesn't even know what to make of this.

"Hollywood" Hulk HOgan shows up with Vincent, Ted DiBiase and Miss Elizabeth. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan rushes off as the nWo heads to the commentary table. Hogan says he's here to set the family record straight, and tells Bischoff to proclaim him as the biggest star in the business and a bigger icon than "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, which Bischoff reluctantly does. Hogan then dares Bischoff to declare that Piper is too scared to face him in the ring. Again, Bischoff reluctantly does so. He then tells Bischoff that if both he and Piper stood on their bank accounts, Piper looks like a midget and that Hogan is 100 times richer than him. Hogan declares that the nWo is running the show, and Hogan lets Bischoff carry on.

Hall, Nash, The Giant and Syxx show up. Hall asks DDP if he's gotten his wake-up call yet, and as Nash says DDP doesn't get it, DDP is ticked off. The Giant says they need to "punk him," and Nash tells DDP that something very beautiful is going to happen tonight. DDP calls himself a man who stands alone, which is where "self high-five" comes from.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair shows up as Jeff Jarrett beats Bobby Eaton with the Figure Four Leg Lock. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Jarrett after the match, who says that he and Flair are united, and that WCW needs to pull together. He says he chopped The Giant down to size, and if he has to do it again this Sunday, he'll do it. Flair proclaims that Jerrett is good to go, and says he's coming back soon. Sting watches from the rafters as Flair and Jarrett talk.

As Bischoff speaks, Piper makes a surprise appearance. Piper says it is his honor to be back, and says that he was getting his while Hogan was playing bass. He then says he is here to talk about jerks and liars, and gives Bischoff a hard time, asking him if he knew anything as basic as whether the road to his home is crooked or straight as well as what class he flew, then calls him a liar. The New World Order show up and hold Piper down. and it is revealed that Eric Bischoff is a member of the New World Order as police officers enter the ring. Hogan calls Piper "a loser fighting a losing battle" who has never been anything in the wrestling business, much less known by name, before he faced him. He says that Piper is so much of a coward that he won't sign for a match with him, and that Piper will never be anything because of that. Police officers have to hold "Rowdy" Roddy Piper back. Mike Tenay are Bobby "The Brain" Heenan are disgusted that Bischoff is now a card-carrying member of The New World Order, and Piper tells Hogan that if he wants a fight, he's got it.
