Raw Deal - Raw recap for January 2, 1995

"Double J" Jeff Jarrett says tonight is the night: his singing career finally takes off with his singing debut!

Gorilla Monsoon fills in for Vince McMahon this week.

Lex Luger and The British Bulldog vs. The Million Dollar Corporation (Bam Bam Bigelow and Tatanka) ends in a double count-out after "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase drags Tatanka out of a pinfall attempt from Bulldog. Referees have to break up the ringside brawl after the bell has rung.

During the Royal Rumble match, it is announced that Lex Luger and The British Bulldog vs. The Million Dollar Corporation (Bam Bam Bigelow and Tatanka) may continue later tonight.

The Bushwhackers (Butch and Luke) are officially in the Royal Rumble match.

The Roadie sets up the equipment for "Double J" Jeff Jarrett's singing debut later tonight.

Duke "The Dumpster" Droese beats Mike Bell. During the match, it is announced that William Shatner will be on Raw next week, and that Lex Luger and The British Bulldog vs. The Million Dollar Corporation (Bam Bam Bigelow and Tatanka) will continue later tonight, time permitting.

We see Kama riding a motorcycle and knocking people out.

The Headshrinkers (Fatu and Sione) beat "The King of Harts" Owen Hart and Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart by disqualification after Owen Hart uses one of Fatu's boots to break up a pin attempt, causing The Headshrinkers to continue in the WWF Tag Team Championship Tournament. The tournament continues this weekend on Superstars with The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) versus Well Dunn (Timothy Well and Steve Dunn) to round out the first round.

It's time for The King's Court. Jerry "The King" Lawler's guest tonightis "The King of Harts" Owen Hart. They both laugh about Owen Hart following his own family at Survivor Series, which Owen calls "part of his master plan." Owen then says that he will win all the titles in WWF just like his brother Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, but says that he won't quit and will retire with the WWF Championship in his possession. He plans to walk out of the Royal Rumble match as the winner, confirming that he is in the Rumble.

Next week: Razor Ramon defends the Intercontinental Championship against "The King of Harts" Owen Hart, while Harvey Wippleman faces Howard Finkel in a Tuxedo Match! It's the second anniversary of Raw!

Jeff Jarrett beats Buck Quartermaine with the Figure Four Leg Lock.

After the commercial break is "Double J" Jeff Jarrett's singing debut. Unfortunately for Double J, it gets marred by technical issues, and after intense feedback, Jarrett finally gives up.

Super Dave Osborne is live via satellite in Las Vegas. He has a new show in The Rio in Las Vegas, where he does a new stunt every week. Super Dave's Vegas Spectacular will debut this Saturday on USA Network at 10:30 PM Eastern/9:30 Central.

Lex Luger and The British Bulldog beat The Million Dollar Corporation (Bam Bam Bigelow and Tatanka) after Bulldog sends Tatanka right into Bam Bam, who is stunned on the apron.
