Wednesday Night's Main Event - Main Event recap for October 24, 2012

Michael Cole and The Miz welcome everyone to tonight's show. The Miz takes offense to being called "the former Intercontinental Champion," saying he will beat Kofi Kingston for the title at Hell In A Cell this Sunday. Tonight, Dolph Ziggler goes one-on-one with Ryback. Miz says that Dolph is quick and agile, and that he is a former World Heavyweight Champion. We then see a video package of Ryback, then The Miz says it is one thing to see Ryback on videotape, and something else to face him in the ring. After that, we see a video package of Dolph Ziggler.

Matt Striker interviews Ryback. Ryback simply tells everyone to watch what he does to Dolph Ziggler when he is told that some say that he has not earned the right to compete for the WWE Championship at Hell In A Cell. Josh Mathews then interviews Dolph Ziggler, who has no comment when asked what his strategy against Ryback is and tells Mathews to get out as he keeps asking him questions.

Ryback beats Dolph Ziggler. During the match, Dolph Ziggler runs to the back, and Ryback chases Ziggler before the show cuts to a commercial break. When the commercial break is over, Ryback comes out - to his own entrance music - holding Ziggler in his arms before he gorilla presses Ziggler back into the ring.

On the Hell In A Cell pre-show, John Cena faces the WWE Universe live on WWE.com, Facebook and YouTube regarding the AJ Scandal, and will be answering questions made from the audience and through social media.

Michael Cole and The Miz interview Paul Heyman, who is backstage. Heyman says CM Punk is not on the same level of Dolph Ziggler, and says The Miz took his beating from Ryback like a man, unlike Dolph, who kept running away. He admits Ryback is most impressive with unprecedented power that is brought to every offensive maneuver which is brought with by bad intention. However, surviving a Hell In A Cell Match requires strategy and cunning, which Heyman claims Ryback does not have. This sunday, CM Punk will feed Ryback his very first loss and prove once again that he is the best in the world.

Alberto Del Rio beats Sin Cara with the Cross Arm Breaker. After the match, Alberto Del Rio asks Randy Orton if he is watching, as that will be him Hell In A Cell after he exposes him as a little crying girl who complans about everything. Ricardo Rodriguez mocks Randy Orton, then says that Alberto Del Rio says he does not have to brag about anything - especially in a stinky place like Providence, Rhode Island - or have to sing songs about having millions of dollars. Ricardo then mocks The Prime Time Players' (Darren Young and Titus O'Neil) "Millions of Dollars" dance. The Prime Time Players then show up, and said neither side had an issue with each other until now. Del Rio says he does not have any business with them as he is in the major leagues, and says Sin Cara is their enemy, not him. He proposes that the three of them work together, then the three of them attack Sin Cara. Randy Orton runs in and chases Del Rio out of the ring before making quick work of The Prime Time Players with two RKOs. Orton then grabs the microphone and tells Del Rio that he looks forward to seeing him on Sunday. He is not sure how much of Del Rio will be left after Hell In A Cell, but Rey Mysterio will be back on Main Event next week. He challenges Del Rio and The Prime Time Players to a six-man tag match against him, Rey and Sin Cara for next week.
