Jerry "The King" Lawler bashes Jake "The Snake" Roberts before the first match, saying he's been exposing him as a hypocrite. He tells Roberts to make one of those "tell-all" books instead of telling people about it. He then calls out "The Portuguese Man-O-War" Aldo Montoya, calling him "Roberts' designated driver," and says Montoya only beat him because he hung with Roberts and his intoxicating breath transferred over to Montoya's body. He pulls a bottle of Jim Beam out of a paper bag, says it's Roberts' tag team partner, and tells him to hand it to Roberts once he's done with him. He then says he knows Montoya does not drink. Lawler continues to speak into the microphone when the bell rings, and tosses the mic onto the floor before telling Montoya to pick it up if he wants to say his piece. When Montoya does, Lawler gets a cheap shot.
Jerry "The King" Lawler beats "The Portuguese Man-O-War" Aldo Montoya. After the match, Lawler pours the whole bottle of Jim Bean into Montoya's mouth as officials try to stop him.
The New Rockers (Marty Jannetty and Leif Cassidy) want to be known as "The New and Improved Rockers" before the next match. Hillbilly Jim also guests on commentary, then The New Rockers attack The Bodydonnas (Skip and Zip) as soon as they come out from backstage.
A lot of happenings take place in the next match. First, Vince McMahon interviews Sunny. She says that next week, Faarooq Asaad will debut against Skip, and that she'll get what she wants when he proves that Skip can't measure up. Faarooq says it makes no difference who his opponent is, you're either the hunter or the prey, and he's never the prey because he's from a fighting background and doesn't plan to start now. He then says the tiger is the real king of the jungle as the tiger is a man-eating animal who doesn't need a pack of females to do the fighting for him, and likens himself to the tiger. Next, The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) and The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) are seen watching the match from separate rooms. We then learn that the individual being represented by Clarence Mason in recent hearings has been allowed back into the WWF as per WWF President Gorilla Monsoon, but will be under close scrutiny not only by the WWF but by Monsoon personally. Clarence Mason is pleased by the outcome.
The Bodydonnas (Skip and Zip) beat The New Rockers (Marty Jannetty and Leif Cassidy) by disqualification with Zip is attacked by The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn). The New Rockers and The Smoking Gunns continue to attack The Bodydonnas, but The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn) show up to clean house. The Bodydonnas and The Godwinns are standing tall in the ring.
We see footage from earlier today where Kevin Kelly interviews "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels earlier today. He says he may be facing adversity in the form of both Vader and Mankind, but it is during times like these that he is at his strongest, and he never said that he was an unbeatable man. At SummerSlam, Vader will have to face him one-on-one for the WWF Championship, and he will have Jose Lothario in his corner when he does. He admits the odds are stacked against him and he has a tough fight ahead of him, and says he cannot express what the WWF Championship means to him and what it has brought to his life as he's waited a long time for this. To beat him, one must beat both him and all the people behind him. He also hopes that Bret "The Hit Man" Hart returns to the WWF, as the WWF without Hart is like peanut butter without jelly. As for his victory at WrestleMania 12, he's used to the criticism. He says that tonight's battle royal personifies why he's the only guy in the WWF that can be the WWF Champion, as there probably can't be another guy who can take on the kind of schedule that he's had to take on. He says Vader is one tough customer, but he could lose the WWF Championship on the next match. There are a lot of confident Superstars in the World Wrestling Federation, but he likes to think that he is a shining star among the rest.
We see footage of last Friday's show from the brand-new Molson Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
The over-the-top-rope battle royal begins with Undertaker going after Mankind...and both of them end up going over the top rope before both of them take their brawl to the back. Later in the match, we find out that their battle has gone all over the building, and it returns to the ring for a few seconds before they run back into the crowd and fight their way into the back. We eventually see them fight in the back as officials try to break it up.
The "Bikini Beach Blast-off" is advertised for the SummerSlam Free For All happening in two weeks on the Prevue Channel.
Next week on Raw: "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels vs. Owen Hart!
Ahmed Johnson - competing against doctor's orders due to his injured kidneys - last eliminates Goldust to win a battle royal to earn a shot at the WWF Championship next week on Raw. (In reality, the show was recorded before it was revealed that Ahmed had a kidney injury, and the "doctor's orders" lines from Vince McMahon were overdubs.) Vince McMahon interviews Ahmed after the match, and says he will be sad if he doesn't get Shawn Michaels, because Shawn is like a brother to him. On the other hand, he is interested in facing Vader for it. As he speaks, however, Faarooq Asaad shows up, and he and Ahmed brawl to end the show.
