Raw Deal - Raw recap for September 15, 2025

Backstage, LA Knight confronts The Usos ("Main Event" Jey and Jimmy Uso). General Manager Adam Pearce jumps in and demands that Knight and Jey meet him in his office now.

John Cena heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Cena talks about coming back to Massachusetts and how he played football as an offensive lineman at nearby Springfield College, which he says prepared him for life in WWE. He says that old teammates and family members here tonight, then thanks Alicia Taylor for the ring announcement and talks about how his "never-seen seventeen" has evolved into a chance to make new moments as he has a tough mountain to climb. He talks about the "last real champion" part of his introduction and how Brock Lesnar wants to end it, saying that Lesnar is intimidating, controversial and "damn near invincible." He talks about how Lesnar makes a target out of him and makes it into a match, and says that his past matches with Lesnar are among the toughest challenges he has ever faced. He then asks how he does not say no when Lesnar makes a challenge. He says he could talk his way out of a match with Lesnar through backstage politics, especially when saying no is easy, then states that he says yes for the fans, as he is the last real champion and he has fought all his battles in the ring. Cena says that to him, being the last real champion is about leaving WWE better than he found it, being the last one to go home, and leaving it all in the ring and giving it all that he has. Cena admits that he is afraid of Lesnar and that he could fail, but he will not back down, for "we will take the fight against The Beast, for that is what we do." He calls his match with Lesnar one last match between two generational matches, then says that he founded Suplex City, taken Lesnar's best shots, and still kept going. He says his jorts are stronger than Brock's jeans and that he will beat Lesnar.

Backstage, General Manager Adam Pearce meets with "Main Event" Jey Uso and LA Knight. Knight wants "Big" Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker in a match, and when Pearce asks who his partner is, Knight picks Jimmy Uso, much to Jey's chagrin.

Lyra Valkyria beats Roxanne Perez. After the match, Lyra is attacked from behind and laid out by Raquel Rodriguez, who was ejected from the match earlier for tripping Lyra on the outside, with Roxanne joining in. Suddenly, Bayley - who has not been seen in the ring in some time - runs into the ring and fights Roxanne and Raquel, quickly getting the better of them, with Toxanne receiving a Bayley-to-Belly. Bayley soon starts hearing the voices in her head again, but blocks them out and suddenly starts hugging Corey Graves and Joe Tessitore at the commentary table, ring announcer Alicia Taylor, referee Jessica Carr, and the front row fans, much to Lyra's confusion.

Backstage, General Manager Adam Pearce finalizes Stephanie Vaquer vs. Iyo Sky for the Women's World Championship at WrestlePalooza. Both women respect each other, but are confident they will win. The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) walk in, and Asuka says nobody is ready for Iyo Sky. Asuka then tells Stephanie she will face Kairi Sane tonight. Adam Pearce makes the match official.

Backstage, LA Knight meets with Jimmy Uso, saying that he has picked him as a tag team partner against Bron Breakker and "Big" Bronson Reed. Jimmy Uso is reluctant, but Knight says Jimmy proved himself to him compared to the rest of family and did not try to screw him. Jimmy says he is in a tight spot, then tells Knight he has to find somebody else.

Penta beats Kofi Kingston after superkicking Grayson Waller for trying to interfere as Xavier Woods distracts the referee.

Backstage, Jimmy Uso meets with "Main Event" Jey Uso. Jey tells Jimmy that he has to say now to Knight when he wants him to be his tag team partner, as they have "Big" Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker at WrestlePalooza. Jimmy says he told Knight no, then says he will not take order from Jey and tell shim to change his tone, as he has no ula fala around his neck.

We see footage of "Main Event' Jey Uso throwing the first pitch for the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park last night.

Backstage, Jimmy Uso tells LA Knight that he is in as his tag team partner.

Seth "Freakin'" Rollins and Becky Lynch head to the ring. Rollins decides to ignore the town of Springfield, Massachusetts for their "CM Punk" chants and address the fans watching on Netflix instead. Rollins welcomes everyone to "Monday Night Rollins" before introducing Becky, and as Becky says she will say what she has to say to people's faces tonight, CM Punk and AJ Lee show up and head to the ring. CM Punk introduces himself as "AJ's husband" and says he does not need to go into his wife's accolades and accomplishments and that the chants make it clear that everyone is here for her and that they know her name. Punk tells Becky he made a career out of telling people what he thought of them to their faces, then says he is overwhelmed about what to see about Seth and Becky. Punk says they brag about being "the greatest wrestling couple" but cannot get on the same page and share the spotlight, as everybody had to listen to "two crappy songs" while he had no problem putting "Cult of Personality" on the shelf for AJ Lee. He says they share a brain cell and a wardrobe, but questions if they can show a unified front without their egos getting in the way. Rollins calls CM Punk "the most selfish person [he] has ever met in [his] entire life," then proclaims he will do something "very unselfish" and gives CM Punk credit, saying this is the best decision Punk has ever made in his entire personal life. The fans chant "No one likes you" at Rollins as he then says that as far as business is concerned, it will be the biggest mistake and regret he will have for the rest of his days. AJ says she would not be here if Becky did not use Rollins as her human shield, and Becky says nobody expected AJ to come back. She then says it is irresponsible of Punk, as he only cares about himself, the World Heavyweight Championship and AJ Lee. Becky mentions AJ Lee talking about how she felt mentally last week, but asks AJ how her neck is after reading AJ's book and brings up Punk's feud with Drew McIntyre before asking him how he will feel when he pummels AJ Lee's face in. She says AJ is a liability and not an asset before AJ admits that she did not ready Becky's book and that she does not know how her neck will hold up after Saturday, then says Becky should worry less about her neck and more about what she will do next. AJ admits she can be erratic, make irrational decisions and "shank a chick," then says while Rollins made a plan out of Becky, he cannot plan for something he cannot predict. Rollins chuckles, saying she can handle AJ, and states that while he cannot predict AJ, he can read Punk like a book, and mentions that he has a nasty habit of leaving when things let him down. He proclaims that when Becky rips her into shreds on Saturday, she had better pray to God that Punk does not leave her, too. AJ slaps Rollins, and while Rollins says he will not put his hands on a lady, he has someone who will. Becky then realizes Rollins is talking about her, and the two of them argue about whether she should slap AJ. Rollins blames this on Becky, and Becky walks out on Rollins. Punk then chases after Rollins, but while he does this, Becky gets back in the ring and hits AJ with the Manhandle Slam. When Punk checks on AJ, Becky slaps Punk and runs away before he and Rollins laugh.

Backstage, Byron Saxton interviews "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio. Dominik says that he is now Intercontinental and AAA Mega Champion, which makes him "Mega Intercontinental Champion." All of a sudden, a commotion is head, and General Manager Adam Pearce and officials have to stop Xavier Woods from hitting Penta with a metal folding chair. The War Raiders (Ivar and Erik) check on Penta.

El Grande Americano beats Dragon Lee by submission. During the match, the second El Grande Americano shows up and distracts the referee. "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles shows up and takes him down, but is suddenly attacked by a third El Grande Americano. The third luchador distracts the referee while the second luchador shoves Dragon Lee off the top rope, allowing El Grande Americano to win by submission.

Backstage, Lyra Valkyrie overheads Bayley arguing with her two voices when the door slams in her face. Lyra walks in on a suddenly calm Bayley and thanks her for her help, especially after what happened between them, but Bayley goes off on Lyra and leaves.

Backstage, Stephanie Vaquer is met by Rhea Ripley, who says that regardless of who wins the Women's World Championship between her and Iyo Sky, she is coming for her.

Stephanie Vaquer beats Kairi Sane. After the match, Asuka is about to get into the ring with Stephanie Vaquer, but Iyo Sky rushes out and stands between them. Iyo has to reason with Asuka, and Asuka reluctantly leaves the ring before Iyo and Vaquer have a staredown and shake hands in the ring.

We hear from Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker. Bronson gives The Usos ("Main Event" Jey and Jimmy Uso) credit for being the best tag team in the business until now, and that this will soon come to an end. Breakker says Seth "Freakin'" Rollins has a vision, and it is The Usos looking up at the lights. Bronson says tonight is a preview of WrestlePalooza and that he could let LA Knight and Jimmy Uso take each other out, but they will learn what happens when the dog is let off the leash. Breakker then says that The Usos will come to an end and that Jimmy will have to ask himself where he goes from here, as Rollins has a vision and it does not change for anyone.

Backstage, Iyo Sky and Asuka argue again, with Kairi Sane tearfully wanting Asuka to stop. Iyo says she must win on her own like Asuka did. Asuka finally listens to her, but angrily leaves while Kairi continues to sob as she catches up with her.

Backstage, The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, Raquel Rodriguez, Roxanne Perez) celebrate "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio becoming a double champion. Finn Balor says they should pump the brakes on the victory lap due to Roxanne and Raquel having a rough night as well as El Grande Americano's involvement in Dominik's matches. Dominik says El Grande Americano wants his respect, but Finn Balor tells Dominik not to come looking for him and JD McDonagh when he plays the "King of the Luchadors" card again before he and JD leave. All of a sudden, Rusev shows up and introduces himself to Dominik, stating he will become the next Intercontinental Champion.

The Vision (Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed) beat Jimmy Uso and LA Knight. After the match, Bronson and Breakker gang up on Jimmy Uso, and Breakker hits Jimmy with a high-speed Spear. Bronson then goes for a Tsunami, but "Main Event" Jey Uso shows up with a metal folding chair. Breakker gets smacked with the chair, but Bronson smacks it away, and Jey Uso has to put up a bit of a fight before hitting Bronson with the metal folding chair so hard that the impact echoes around the arena. Jey checks on Jimmy, but Knight grabs the metal folding chair. Jey sees it coming and stares Knight down, and Knight throws the chair to the side before shaking hands with Jey. As soon as Jey turns around, however, Knight hits him with the BFT and leaves the ring to end the show.
