Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for September 13, 2025

Dustin Starr interviews The Hollywood Clique - who are celebrating retaining the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships - at the announce desk. Jimmy Blaylock says his mother always told him that "if you've got it, flaunt it," and that The Hollywood Clique will flaunt it. Blaylock mentions the great tag teams of old in Memphis wrestling history before saying that he has the best in Jay Smooth and Kale and that nobody will knock them off the mountain. Blaylock then has Jay Smooth and Kale flaunt the tag team titles in front of the crowd, which he calls "the trailer park," then proclaims they will flaunt the titles on Beale Street before flaunting them everywhere. He knows that everyone does not like it, but he does not care, and he declares The Hollywood Clique the greatest thing Memphis Wrestling has ever seen as well as the best tag team in Memphis Wrestling. Blaylock says they have the gold and that they will keep it no matter what.

We see footage of a man laughing maniacally (which is implied to be Morrow) as he puts on what looks like a straitjacket while the full moon is out. We then see one last sudden image of Brother Bruce.

Dustin Starr interviews The New Wave ("The Problem" Aaron Roberts, "The Chosen One" Zay Washington, Justin Case) at the announce desk. Justin Case says they have been sidelined and that they need to focus. Zay Washington says that they are taking over and that they left Mike Anthony laying and put him on notice.

"Livewire" Bobby Ford beats "The Chosen One" Zay Washington with a schoolkid pin after interference by both Justin Case and "The Problem" Aaron Roberts and the distraction by Mike Anthony, the latter of which allows Bobby Ford to win.

We see footage from last week where Gio Savage meets with people at the WrestleCenter as well as Matchmaker King Cobra before he is suddenly confronted and attacked by The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamonte).

Jake Brewer reports that there will be more on the Gio Savage-L.A. Hustlers situation as well as a medical update as the story develops. Also, VaShawn Harvey has been fined and suspended as per Matchmaker King Cobra following his post-match attack on referee Arthur Logan.

"The Gift" Ray Sanders beats Sevyn Cruz despite interference by KJ Rockett. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Ray Sanders at the announce desk. Ray says he has been doing the best he can and taking it match by match, and that he is giving his best for the fans and that he will prove why he is "The Gift."

We hear from Big John Dalton, who says that Sycho Simon not only cost him the tag team titles but also attacked his mentor Buff Bagwell. He says he had to make a split-second decision and that he had to take care of his friend. He says that if Sycho Simon wants no rules, he has no rules.

We see photo stills from Sycho Simon and Big John Dalton's match from the Dyer County Fair.

We see footage from Tupelo Supershow of The Big Manes (Big John Dalton and K-Toomer) vs. The Hollywood Clique (Jay Smooth and Kale) in a no-rules match. Before the match, "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock introduces Jay Smooth and Kale and brags about having the tag team titles while the Secret Service agents collect all the Twinkies being thrown into the ring before demanding The Big Manes enter the ring with Coach Pillar in their corner. During the match, Coach Pillar is attacked at ringside and then dragged to the concession stand and attacked again by Jimmy Blaylock and one of the Secret Service agents. Coach Pillar soon gets back up and takes out the Secret Service agent before heading back to the ring with mustard and ketchup, which he squirts on "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock before beating him up. The Big Manes soon get the win.

Colton Cage and CJ Blaine beat Main Event Bradley and CJ Money.
