Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling recap for September 14, 2025

Backstage, Jack Farmer interviews Johnny United. He admits that he may have motivated "Poppin'" EJ Sparks even further with his actions, but he knows that they both admire him. Sparks shows up and says he is pissed and that he not only will make him pay, but that he has quickly lost a lot of respect for him. Both men then have a staredown.

Backstage, Christian Cole interviews Danny Limelight. He says that the last time he was here, he was beaten in front of both his fans and his family, and while someone else who took the same journey as he did ended up being a coward, he used to take that road back in the day. He says that he feels like "Scarface in his last moments" and that he did this to himself, and while he had Slice Boogie and Papo Esco in his corner back then, there are no friends in this business. Slice Boogie then shows up as part of the interview. Slice says that last time he was here, he won the Golden Opportunity. He says the company wanted to drive them apart, even though he wanted this opportunity. He says that while there was some tension, especially with what was happening at the time, there is no heat between them, yet if the opportunity is there, he will take it. Limelight says that all they do is win, and that as long as there is money on the table, they will take it. Slice says he and Limelight have won gold everywhere they have gone, and that they have no problem taking the tag team gold.

Scorpio Sky beats Buddy Royal.

Nearly Average Wrestling owner Shane Hartline guests on commentary for the next match.

Brandon Cutler beats "Outlandish" Zicky Dice. At the beginning of the match, Zicky Dice produces two six-sided dice, but Cutler produces a twenty-sided die. At the end of the match, Nearly Average Wreslting owner Shane Hartline takes the twenty-sided die and hits Zicky with it on the outside behind the referee's back, allowing Cutler to hit the TPK for the win. After the match, Shane Hartline removes his neck brace and signs the Nearly Average Wrestling contract in his hands with the pen in Zicky Dice's hand.

Backstage, we hear from Jordan Cutler, who says that "One in a Million" Maximilen is nowhere to be found because of how the fans have treated him and that he is now vacationing in Montenegro. Castle says he could be with him right now, but he is a professional and he has business, and after the commercial break, we will hear from Maximilien.

We see "One in a Million" Maximilen in Montengro, followed by the message "Maximilien, Better Than You." We then hear from Jordan Cutler, who says that this is the electricity and superstardom that Maximilien has and that when Maximilien returns, the fans had better cheer him, for the undefeated dominance will continue.

Jonny Loquasto interviews The Wolf Zaddies (Che Cabrera and Bad Dude Tito). Bad Dude Tito says they have run through everyone and leave everyone on their backs, and Che Cabrera says they are the most dominant team in UWN history and that there is no team like them. Tito says they need competition and that they are tired of beating up "little boys" that cannot match men like them, and they can have the match anywhere. Suddenly, G.U.N.K. (Rob McKnight and shows up. It does not take long for both men to start fighting near Jonny Loquasto, and referees, security and even other wrestlers have to restore order. As Tito dives into everyone, the scene changes to The Master Amir, who says that Slade and McCallion once claimed vanity and were blind to the truth, but change, which is never gentlewas demanded. He says skin must be shed, and only then can trust be revealed. Amir then asks if one will resist or embrace change when the clock stricks, then demands that everyone stand with Delirium (The Master Amir, Slade, McCallion).

"Poppin'" EJ Sparks retains the UWN Heritage Championship against Johnny United. (On the original YouTube airing, Johnny United vs. "Poppin'" EJ Sparks for the UWN Heritage Championship strangely ends after the final commercial break and suddenly becomes Fidel Bravo vs. Jordan Cruz for the UWN World Championship from last week's episode. The error would be fixed the following Tuesday.)
