Let's Go! - LFG recap for April 27, 2025 (Episode Two)

Shawn Michaels meets with the Legends and Future Greats. He explains that next week, the "LFG Playoffs" begin and that eliminations will start. This week's challenge is monikers and nicknames, and this week's guest is "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles. AJ Styles says that "Phenomenal" is a feeling to embody and is not just about doing flips. Afterwards, the Future Greats pitch ideas to the Legends. Sirena goes with "La Diablita," which means "The Little Devil" in Spanish. Leigh Laurel wants to be "The Silent Killer," but Booker T tells her that she needs to be able to display that instead of being the "butterfly" she has already is. Dani picks "The Shooting Star," as she sees herself as unlimited potential. Tatyanna calls herself "The Gold Standard" at the behest of Bubba Ray, which Tyra Mae thinks is a lie as there is nothing golden about her. Tatyanna sees that as an insecurity on Tyra Mae's part. Tyra Mae goes with "The Real Deal," but Booker T calls that disrespectful after what Evander Holyfield did, and this leds to Elijah Holyfield seizing the moment and calling himself "The Holyfield Warrior," saying that being a warrior is in his blood and that he will conquer everything in his path, inflict pain and win championships while doing it, as it is "the Holyfield Warrior way." AJ Styles reminds him that sometimes, the war can be in his head and not just in the ring. The Undertaker is impressed by Elijah's initiative, but Booker T states that he brought that out of him. Zena goes with "The Oxymoron," stating that she was viewed as a moron at the beginning but is now the one to beat. Styles is a bit weirded out by the explanation, but he understands the meaning behind it. (Bully Ray holds Zena's gum both before and after BJ goes with "The West Coast Gangsta" and says he grew up on the streets of Orange County, California and that there were years were his father barely made half a million dollars. Drake Morreaux goes with "The Bayou Boy," which impresses the Legends with his ability to lean into the swampy New Orleans side of himself. Shiloh Hill goes with "The Hellraiser," and brings out his intensity as he does. Jasper Troy goes with "The Reaper," which brings up an Undertaker comparison from Styles. Chris Island goes with "The Promised Child," which Jasper Troy takes as Chris Island wanting to always be known as "little brother." He also tells Chris Island that he was looking for a grown man.

Zena "The Oxymoron" Sterling and "The Gold Standard" Tatyanna Dumas beat Dani "The Shooting Star" Sekelsky and "La Diablita" Sirena Linton. Styles says that he expected Dani and Sirena to stand out a little more. Dani feels like she was run over in the tail end of the competition. Booker says that Zena is excelling and that she knows how to get herself and others over. Bubba Ray wants to see more out of Tatyanna, and calls the match "a good effort." Afterwards, Tatyanna feels that she did not deliver and that her performance is unacceptable.

"The West Coast Gangsta" BJ Ray and "The Bayou Boy" Drake Morreaux beat Anthony "Showtime" Luke and "The Reaper" Jasper Troy. Bubba Ray says BJ Ray and Morreaux worked together, but feels he did not see enough of "The West Coast Gangster." Styles says BJ "worked small" and looked small as a result. BJ says he did not want to come across as a heel, as he was working as a babyface in the match. Mickie James says she enjoyed watching Morreaux and BJ, and Morreaux is glad that the Legends enjoyed. Booker T says Anthony Luke did a good job but could have done better, and he and The Undertaker agree that Anthony has too much talent to be hokey. Anthony says he has a lot to improve on. Everyone agrees that Jasper Troy as "The Reaper" felt genuine, especially The Undertaker, and that Jasper Troy believed his moniker. Styles says Jasper was not trying to send someone to the hospital; he was trying to send someone to the morgue. Jasper says The Undertaker was the one man he wanted to impress, as he held the keys, and that means the world to him.

Leigh "The Detonator" Laurel and Penina "P-Nasty" Tuilalepa beat "The Real Deal" Tyla Mae Steele and Bayley "The Bone Collector" Humphrey. AJ Styles says Leigh had her moniker down from the get-go, but expected Penina to be a little nastier. The Undertaker says Penina scratched the surface for her moniker. Mickie tells Leigh that something has clicked and that she has brought her A-game. Booker T says Tyra Mae could have been more structured, but she did a good job. He also tells Bayley to put more of a focus of looking good in the ring.

"The Promised Child" Chris Island and "The Superhuman Superstar" Troy Yearwood beat Shiloh "The Hellraiser" Hill and Elijah "The Holyfield Warrior." The Undertaker feels that everyone's monikers were not showcased well enough, and Bubba Ray agrees. Styles says everyone will get there, but he agrees with The Undertaker and Bubba Ray.

The points are awarded. Booker T says some people stood out more than others, but everyone is on the right path. He says that it is only going to get harder from here. Mickie James says everyone put on some good matches, but it was all about monikers this week. The Undertaker says everyone is getting better, and that this is what they need to see and that everyone needs to set themselves apart from the path. Bubba Ray says there is no excuses, especially since everyone knew the assignment. Styles awards a point to Jasper Troy for the men for showing a lot of intensity, and a point to Zena for the women for showing what her moniker was all about, even if he did not understand it at first. Team Undertaker is first at seven points, Team Booker is at six points, Team Bubba Ray is now in third place with four points, and Team Mickie is still at three points and is now in last place.

Let's Go! - LFG recap for April 27, 2025 (Episode One)

The show begins with Bubba Ray chewing out both BJ Ray and Cutler James, the former for going into business for himself and Cutler James for walking out on the match, which Bubba Ray says would get BJ an ass-kicking and Cutler a firing. He then pits the two of them against each other in a match, which is going to happen right now.

BJ Ray beats Cutler James with a sleeper. The Legends are not impressed with the match, and Cutler James mentions that BJ was gassed after the first 30 seconds. BJ accuses Cutler James of being stuff and not selling his offense. Cutler says he is still learning and trying to be a good communicator, but says there is no excuse for not being in shape. Afterwards, Bubba Ray chews both men out for having an awful match, and tells them both to show something. He tells them to have another match, with the stipulation that the winner stays and the loser goes.

Shawn Michaels meets with the Future Greats. He announces that this week's challenge is about being prepared for the unexpected, whether it be a power outage in the venue or a fight breaking out in the stands. He says that sometimes, things will go wrong, and that Superstars should know how to deal with things. Afterwards, The Legends wonder what Shawn Michaels has in store, and know the Future Greats will have to be ready for anything. Bubba Ray says he needs to put Drake Morreaux in a match to make up for last week. Mickie James wants to see aggression out of Troy Yearwood. The Undertaker wants to get aggression out of Tyra Mae, and Booker T says that Leigh Laurel needs to be seen in a babyface role. A mixed tag match is proposed, and Booker T wants to see Penina in the mix, and Bubba Ray also wants to see Zena in the mix, as he has high hopes for her. Chris Island and Penia are put in a mixed tag with Zena and Shiloh Hill.

Tyra Mae Steele beats Leigh Laurel by submission with a single leg crab. During the match, the top rope breaks apart after Tyra Mae whips Leigh into the corner, but the match goes on. Afterwards, The Undertaker and Booker T feel there is a lot of work to do, and Bubba Ray says they are taking steps back and not forward. Bubba Ray takes Tyra Mae moving her eyes upwards as rolling her eyes instead of trying to calm down. Leigh feels they lost sight of the match.

Drake Morreaux beats Troy Yearwood. During the match, three more minutes is suddenly added to the match time. Mickie James says both men handled it, but not in the best way. Booker T mentions Troy Yearwood missing multiple punches, and The Undertaker tells Drake Morreaux to make his moves look bigger and to "work big." He does compliment both men on getting their time. Bubba Ray takes umbrage to Morreaux throwing Yearwood out of the ring, and The Undertaker says that he should have taken more advantage of the three minutes instead of just filling time. Morreaux says he will remember the advice for next time, and Yearwood says he is deep in thought after being chewed out along with his opponent, and that he does not want to bring others down.

Chris Island and Penina Tuilalepa beat Shiloh Hill and Zena Sterling in a mixed tag match. During the match, there is a power surge, and the arena goes dark. Bubba Ray enjoyed the match and felt everyone took a step forward and shined, and The Undertaker says Penina had her best match. Booker T praises everyone, saying that Penina has found what has gotten her on track, but mentions that Chris Island cannot stomp opponents well. Island says he will practice his stomps, and Shiloh takes the blame for him doing a stomp in the match. Penina is happy to get good feedback, and Zena says this has been her favorite match in the competition so far.

The points are awarded. Booker T says Shiloh Hill stood out for the men and that Penina stood out for the women by a sliver. Mickie James picks Shiloh for the men and Zena for the women, but does note that Penina had a fine match thanks to Zena. The Undertaker picks Zena, and says Penina and Zena had their best day, then picks Shiloh for the men. Bubba Ray picks Shiloh Hill for the men, stating that he loved his intensity and the little things that he has improved on, and that Shiloh has earned the point. He agrees with the rest of the Legends about Penina and tells her to feel proud about taking the definitive step forward, and states that Zena continues to blow them all away, even mentioning commitment and professionalism by stating that she watched old matches of luchadors, which explains the rolling around at the beginning of the match. Shiloh wins unanimously for the men, and Zena wins for the women. Zena notes her improvement from the start of the competition until now, and Mickie James says that while part of her wanted to vote for Chris Island, she still stands firm on Shiloh being the better man tonight and that it would not do anyone good to lie. The Undertaker praises Shiloh's range as a professional wrestler. Team Undertaker has 7 points, Team Booker T has five points, and Team Bubba Ray and Team Mickie James are now tied at 3 points each.

BJ Ray beats Cutler James in a Loser Leaves Town match with a crucifix pin. Mickie James mentions that she expected something more after the match. After the match, Bubba Ray gets with both men and says that neither man have impressed him, with BJ's problems being evident and with Cutler starting out strong only to taper off. Booker T says BJ talks a good game, but he cannot back it up. Mickie agrees with Booker T, saying he pulled for BJ at the beginning, but Cutler James has a better look and is more respectful. The Undertaker says Bubba Ray has a tough decision, and says he does not know what the stakes have to be in order to bring out more fire and emotion, and also agrees that BJ can talk the talk but not walk the walk. He does admit there is potential. Bubba tells BJ and Cutler that he would have them both their money back and told them to go home, and says that BJ is "a headache and a problem and an issue" and that there is something to be said everywhere he goes. He says that if there is one thing he learned about pro wrestling, it is that entertainment trumps wrestling. He then picks BJ to stay, causing Cutler James, and wishes him best of luck in his future endeavors before shaking his hand. Cutler leaves, and Bubba Ray notices that BJ's smirk is gone. Bubba Ray says that BJ is finally taking seriously, and despite the Legends wanting him gone for being a screw-up, he still sees something in him, and says that he will have to sink or swim on his own or else he will hold the door while everyone else kicks him out. Afterwards, BJ makes the decision to be more coachable. Cutler says he will have to do some digging and figure out his path to the top, and whatever he does, he knows it will be big.

Scorpio shows up and says that he has been watching the United Wrestling Network for a long time, and that Danny Limelight is a champion who has fought with honor and integrity. He says that he is here to give Limelight the flowers that he deserves, not to pick a fight, then says that Limelight can have the flowers, as he just wants the title. All of a sudden, "Inevitable" Ace Austin shows up and declares that he is the next challenger for the United World Championship, and while he thinks Limelight is stupid for looking past him, he does want to face Scorpio Sky. Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for April 25, 2025

John Cena heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Once again, ring announcer Mark Nash is corrected by Cena. Before Cena can utter a word, however, Randy Orton heads to the ring. Orton says that in a couple of months, it will be 25 years to the day that he and Cena first shook hands, and in those 25 years, Cena was always about hustle, loyalty and respect and it was a way of life and a mantra. He then says that has gotten him thinking, and that he feels there is a void in Cena. He says that Cena was a source of motivation that children looked up to and feels that this certainly means something to him. He also mentions the Make-a-Wish kids that were left with a piece of his heart and knows that they mean something to Cena, too. Orton then says he has figured out how to fill the void, and tells Cena that he needs to "have some damn kids." Orton feels that being a father would make Cena a better human being, but Cena takes offense to Orton trying to "parent shame" him in an attempt to make him feel better. Cena then says he has no children because he spent the last 25 years raising everyone else's, and by the sound of the fans, he has done an impeccable job. He says that for the last 25 years, he has been a better parent to everyone's children than the children's own parents and has been "policing brats." Orton says the fans are still why the reason Cena is in the ring as well as in Hollywood, and that WWE is how Cena honed his skills to get to Hollywood. Orton says he has made his mistakes, but he can stand in the locker room and hold his head up high, as he is the furniture, then says Cena is "just a guest." Cena says there is a matter of perspective, and says that everything he did, he did on his own. He then mentions the predictability of the fans and how the fans mean nothing to him and are hypocrites who put their energy into anyone else when they get tired of him. He then says that if he puts his energy into anything else, he is suddenly an outcast, and because of this, the relationship between him and the fans is abusive and manipulative. Orton admits that he is suddenly stupid for believing that his word would penetrate Cena's head, then mentions that his family is another royal family, that wrestling has given him everything, and that Cena will only ruin wrestling over his dead body. Cena tells Orton that when he leaves, Orton will be "forever frozen" as a 14-time world champion. He then calls Orton "a babbling moron" before declaring that three generations of Orton's family will be erased when he leaves. Orton tells Cena to prove he is "the last real champ" and put the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line right now, but Cena declines, telling him he is doing it to save Orton's ass and that it should not happen here. He says that it should happen at Backlash in St. Louis, Missouri, where Orton is from. Cena states that he wants Orton at his best so that when he fails, he has no excuses, for he is what the last real champion looks like and it is as close as Orton will get to the title. Cena then throws the title to Orton and sucker punches him before stomping him near the ropes. Cena then goes for a championship belt shot to the head, but Orton dodges and hits the RKO.

LA Knight says he hit Jacob Fatu with a BFT, yet Jacob managed to survive. As LA Knight demands a championship rematch, Drew McIntyre shows up. He says that John Cen is "a punk" now and that he wants to fight the baddest champion in the yard, which is Jacob Fatu. The Miz is in the ring. He says that he has been an integral part of WrestleMania for the last twenty years, but he did not have a WrestleMania match last year despite having main evented against John Cena and beaten him at WrestleMania 27. He complains about people who cannot even lace his boots getting positions over him, including Joe Hendry, then the lights go out. When they come back on, Malakai Black - now known as Aleister Black once again - shows up with his original NXT entrance and theme song. The Miz confronts Aleister only to get kicked right in the head with a Black Mass.

Backstage, Byron Saxton interviews Bianca Belair. Bianca mentions that the fingers on her left hand are broken, and while she did not win, her match was still fantastic. Bianca says that when she returns, she will have some business to take care of.

Backstage, Nia Jax meets with Naomi. She says that she does not care about Naomi's revenge towards Jade Cargill and tells her to stay out of her way. Naomi says "As long as you proceed with caution," then leaves.

After the match, Priest takes McIntyre South of Heaven through the announce table. Knight confronts Priest afterwards, and both men get blasted with a surprise tope suicida by Jacob Fatu, who then throws both men into ring steps. Jacob then gets both men back into the ring and hits them both with the corner hip attack followed by the top rope moonsault.

Backstage, R-Truth talks to John Cena, saying he is glad that Cena won the championship and to give him a call if he needs him.
