Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for November 28, 2025

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews LA Knight, who finds out that he will be facing another mystery opponent in the Last Time is Now tournament. LA Knight takes this as someone stacking the deck against him again, but he is undeterred in winning tonight and winning the tournament.

"Main Event" Jey Uso beats Rusev to advance in the Last Time is Now Tournament after escaping an Attitude Adjustment attempt as a means of sending a message to John Cena to hit a Spear followed by an Uso Splash for the win.

Backstage, The Miz wants General Manager Nick Aldis to put him in the Last Time is Now Tournament when R-Truth shows up and finds out his name is already in the tumbler. Aldis pulls out a ball from the tumbler before talking to R-Truth. As this goes on, The Miz removes the name that was already inside the ball and replaces it with a slip of paper with his name in it. Aldis is none the wiser, and The Miz ends up being LA Knight's mystery opponent. We also get one more ball joke from R-Truth.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Damian Priest, who says that Aleister Black and Zelina Vega are not going to change him and that all Aleister has done is piss him off. As Priest looks forward to kicking Aleister's ass, Zelina shows up and tells Priest that he is the one on the receiving end of the punishment and that people only talked about Priest when Aleister threw a fireball in his face. As this goes on, Aleister can briefly be seen in the background. Zelina leaves, then Rhea Ripley shows up. They have a brief conversation, and Rhea has an idea to propose to Priest.

We see an advertisement for WrestleMania 42, this time with the women's division at a fancy restaurant table.

Alba Fyre and Chelsea Green head to the ring for Chelsea's championship celebration. Chelsea calls herself the greatest women's champion in North America, but before her pyro can go off, Jade Cargill shows up and heads to the ring with purpose. Cargill nearly kicks Alba's head off before hitting Chelsea with Jaded. The pyro goes off as Cargill leaves.

Backstage, Alexa Bliss is sure that Charlotte Flair will beat Asuka tonight for the WarGames advantage, as does Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky when they show up. AJ Lee shows up and says that no matter what happens, they will win tomorrow, then says she will make sure of it.

We see a snippet of an interview with John Cena as he talks about opportunity, and how he did not see appearing on Velocity as a demotion.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Jade Cargill, who says that she has a problem with anyone who runs their mouth, and dares anyone who has a problem to step up. Cargill mouths off at B-Fab when their paths cross, and when Michin shows up, she makes up her mind to step up to Cargill.

LA Knight beats The Miz to advance in the Last Time is Now Tournament after The Miz is caught using the middle rope for leverage during a pinfall attempt.

Backstage, Becky Lynch talks strategy with Lash Legend, Nia Jax and The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane), but it ends up just being Becky putting everyone down. Asuka says that Charlotte Flair was out for a year and that she is not worried about Charlotte tonight.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Ilja Dragunov. Dragunov says the United States open challenge will always be open to anyone who is worthy. Tommaso Ciampa shows up and tells Dragunov he should be worried about him, not Tama Tonga, and brags about taking Axiom's mask on the way to taking Dragunov's title. Dragunov says he will take this into consideration before calling Ciampa a jackass again.

Charlotte Flair beats Asuka in a WarGames Advantage Match after the timekeeper gets blue mist spit into his face after Charlotte throws Asuka over the announce table.

We see a video package for the men's WarGames Match.

Team MFT's (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Talla Tonga, JC Mateo) beat Team Sami (Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, Rey Fenix, Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley). Solo Sikoa last pins Sami Zayn and is sole survivor. After the match, the lights go out, and when they come back on, The Wyatt Sicks are on the ring apron. Solo is attacked from behind by Uncle Howdy, who hits Solo with Sister Abigail.
