Collision Course - Collision recap for February 22, 2025

Backstage, "The Glamour" Mariah May attacks "Timeless" Toni Storm and drags her to the stage before headbutting her in the jaw and hitting her with Storm Zero. She then demands that a spotlight hit the stage and says "Look what you made me do" to Toni and says that since Toni does not know how to write an ending, she will write it for her in her own blood. She says that this is their spotlight and their moment, and at Revolution, there will be a Hollywood ending.

Backstage, we hear from "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada, who says that he put the dog down because that is what he does with a bitch. He say that if any other bitch wants to step up, he will put them down, too.

Hologram beats The Beast Mortos. After the match, Mortos attacks Hologram, but Komander shows up and makes the save. Komander and Hologram double-team Mortos and send him packing.

We see a vignette for "Speedball" Mike Bailey, who is coming to AEW.

Gabe Kidd beats The Butcher.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Don Callis and "The Protostar" Kyle Fletcher. Callis accuses Lexy of getting in his and Fletcher's head, then tells Will Ospreay that he is mentally deficient for challenging Fletcher to a steel cage match. He says that Fletcher will use the steel cage like a Veg-o-Matic on Ospreay, who Fletcher says has done nothing but take from him. He says that this will end at Revolution, as he accepts the challenge to a steel cage match.

Julia Hart beats Queen Aminata by submission with the Octopus hold.

Murder Machines ("The Machine" Brian Cage and Lance Archer) beat Sky High (Mondo and Robby Avion). After the match, Brian Cage calls out The Hurt Syndicate (MVP, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin), saying that he and Lance Archer will hurt them. Archer says they are just getting started, because in the end, everybody dies. The Hurt Syndicate shows up, and the fans chant "We hurt people" as MVP asks The Murder Machines who they think they are for calling them out. He then has to tell Lashley to stand down, then tells Archer to take himself and The Hurt Syndicate more seriously. He also says that The Hurt Syndicate dictate the time and the place, but says he feels generous, and instead of setting Lashley and Shelton loose on them right now, Murder Machines can beat a serious tag team before they talk business.

We see a vignette for Lio Rush and Action Andretti. Lio Rush says they are held back by their pasts and fueled by their present, then announces that they go by the name "Cru."

In exclusive backstage footage from last week's Dynamite, Kris Statlander and Thunder Rosa agree that the next time Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford get in their faces, they will swing on them.

The Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, Wheeler Yuta) retain the AEW World Trios Championships on Daniel Garcia, "Cool Hand" Angelo Parker and "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard by submission with a Brutalizer from PAC to Parker. After the match, The Death Riders continue to go on the attack until Undisputed Kingdom (Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong) shows up and helps Garcia, Parker and Menard clean house. Garcia and Cole fistbump in a sign of respect, then Undisputed Kingdom decimate PAC. Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir show up, but Adam Copeland shows up with two metal folding chair and hits twoCon-Chair-Tos on PAC after Undisputed Kingdom, Garcia, Parker and Menard keep Claudio and Yuta away.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews The Vendetta ("The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie). They give Harley Cameron credit where credit is due for her comedy, but call her victory against Taya a fluke and mock Harley for losing at Grand Slam Australia. Purrazzo tells Harley to move or be moved.

"Platinum" Max Caster heads to the ring to issue another open challenge and says that he was disrespected by "Hangman" Adam Page last week, and wants his next challenger to look him in the eye and shake his hand like a man. He then says it will not happen because everyone is afraid of him, then wants to know who will survive "The Best Wrestler Alive." The open challenge is answered by Brody King.

Brody King beats "Platinum" Max Caster in an open challenge.

Backstge, Lexy Nair interviews The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd). Magnum says nothing succeeds like success and that Australia loved it when they chopped down The Learning Tree ("The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho, "The Redwood" Big Bill, "The Bad Apple" Bryan Keith), and Turbo talks about what they will do when The Hurt Syndicate (MVP, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin) show up. The Outrunners soon talk business. MVP says that if they beat Murder Machines ("The Machine" Brian Cage and Lance Archer), they will get a title shot, and says it is the good and the bad news. The Hurt Syndicate leave, but The Outrunners take it in stride, saying that they cannot lose.

"The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho retains the Ring of Honor World Championship against Bandido after countering the 21-Plex with a Victory Roll.
